Cloud: Cloud lounged in his favorite chair at home, finally having gotten to rest from the countless quests and missions he had been on of late. The fusion sword hung by the door, Fenrir parked out front needing to be washed. He had a scotch on the table next to him as he dozed in and out of consciousness. "Zack?" Cloud called out, reaching to pick up his drink and sipping at it, trying to sit up completely in his chair as he worked his gloves off, armor in a heap on the floor by the chair.
Zack[Sephiroth]: Zack was busy putting the kids to bed and little Aerith had just fallen asleep by the end of yet another night of Zack reading Black Beauty to her. He set the book down on the bedside table marked with her favourite pink ribbon at the place she'd fallen asleep at and kissed her cheek before he turned the light off and exited the room. He glanced around and saw a pile of armor on the floor and smiled upon realising exactly who it was. "Hey." Zack walked slowly over to where Cloud was sitting and knelt down beside him and placed a hand on his arm. "What's the matter, baby?"
Cloud: "Nothing, just being pulled in a million different directions because of people's fear of Sephiroth, on top of taking care of the usual uprisings and missions. Plus Tseng and Reno are over in Tseng's home town, he's being forgiven apparently. Though we have them on radio in case anything bad happens." Cloud reached out, placing his warm hand atop of Zack's. "All I want to do is spend a month at home and be with my wife and kids, and you of course. Longer than a month, I want to make a new weapon, but I don't even have time." The blond man sighed, setting his drink aside as he stood.
Zack[Sephiroth]: Zack looked surprised when Cloud mentioned that Tseng had been forgiven and he smiled a little. "Well that's good." He reached out with his free hand to run his fingers through Cloud's hair and tilted his head giving him a sympathetic look. "I know. I know. We all miss you, terribly. But you gotta do what you gotta do, baby. If Sephiroth is still around or plotting a come back we need our best to send that son of a bitch back where he came from." Zack moved his hands away and stood up and moved behind the flaxen haired warrior and wrapped his arms around his shoulders and squeezed. "Anda misses you. She's...changed. A lot." Zack pulled away and looked kind of sheepish. Truth be told the change Cloud's wife had been through were quite drastic and Zack was unsure how his beloved Cloud would react.
Cloud: "Yes, but I wish he would just die already, it's a pain in the ass to have to kill him over and over again. And everytime he comes back he's more powerful, not having done anything, yet I have to work my ass off for whatever time frame I get to try to match a force I won't know. You think Gaia would be a little more considerate and help her chosen, but goddess forbid I actually be on anything considered level ground." He frowned, hands going to grip Zack's forearms. "Don't call me baby, I'm anything but. I've missed my wife too, how has she changed?"
Zack[Sephiroth]: Zack sighed as he listened to Cloud's complaints and pressed a kiss to his shoulder. "I know. I don't know what you want me to tell you though, Cloud." He squeezed him a little tighter when he felt Cloud's hands on his arms and hugged slightly. "Cloud, I don't mean it that way and you know it." Zack heaved another sigh and pulled back from Cloud and moved to stand in front of him. "Her...encounter with Sephiroth did her body a great deal of damage and she...she died Cloud. Well...the body did anyway. Andariel herself on the other hand is very much alive and well and in another body."
Cloud: "I heard, but I was all the way in Wutai when it happened, but she did message me that all was alright and not to kill myself trying to rush over here." The soldier looked disappointed as Zack pulled away, turning to look at him tiredly. "As long as it's not the red head body that scared our children to tears, I think we'll be fine. I just, I don't know what it is about that vessel, but I can't do it." He looked down, scratching the back of his head. "Not to mention, the Chocobo's might try to eat her."
Cloud: The shorter man looked down before speaking. "Besides, Sephiroth will pay when we next meet. Slowly, and painfully." When he looked back up his pupils had turned to slits and he shook his head, gripping his temple with a sigh. "Should sleep."
Zack[Sephiroth]: Zack made what could only be described as an 'Oh my god...well fuck' face and sighed almost cringing as Anda walked into the room with tears in her eyes. She knew Cloud didn't like her new meat suit but it was the best she could do at short notice. She swallowed her tears and turned to leave the room, trying to keep what little dignity Sephiroth had left her with intact. To say Sephiroth was cruel was an understatement. Cloud and Zack would never know what Sephiroth did to her. All they would know is that she completely destroyed her previous vessel and she was on a long waiting list to get it back. She wasn't even sure she would get it back at all. Zack pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "She covers her hair when she deals with the birds. Or I do it. The kids are used to her new vessel now. But next time you see Sephiroth give him one for me." Zack shook his head. "No. You should go and take a cure and go and talk to your wife, Cloud. She hasn't been the same since you left."
Cloud: Cloud sighed immediately upon seeing hands, rubbing his forehead tiredly. "Fine, just leave for now." He muttered to Zack, downing the last bit of his scotch instead of taking the cure potion. I wouldn't do anything for his exhausted state, and he was completely out of stamina potion, having come back home to restock here at the house and on his person. He followed out after Anda, resigned. "Andariel." He called after her, stepping out after his wife, ready for tears, or for yelling, or for both. "I'm sorry I can't be the perfect man, and say the right things everytime, and I'm sorry I have my preferences, some of which I can't change. But don't think I don't love you." He put his hand on her shoulder, his hand warm and heavy
Zack[Sephiroth]: Zack sighed and shook his head as he walked to another room and sat down and amused himself listening to music and flipping through a car magazine. Andariel had just taken a deep breath and was about to smoke out and find a new vessel when she heard Cloud's voice calling behind her. Her power rippled through her skin and faded as quickly as it had surfaced. She closed her mouth, setting her jaw and turned around to face him, her amber eyes still glistening with tears. She didn't know whether to fling herself into his arms, sob into his shoulder and tell him she loved him or tear him apart and scream at him and tell him she hated him for leaving her alone to raise two kids without him. Instead she crumbled and did both. "Where the fuck have you been?! I've been so worried about you! No texts. No calls. Not even a prayer or a summon! How am I supposed to know if you're quick, or dead?! What am I supposed to tell Aerith night after night when she cries for her daddy to come home?!" She screamed until she couldn't do it anymore and collapsed into her husband's chest and sobbed, clinging to him for dear life, suddenly afraid that if she let go he would disappear forever this time.
Cloud: Cloud stood there, not saying anything as his wife threw a fit, holding her when she finally collapsed against him and sighing. "I did write to you, and I text you when I could. I did what I had to as this planet's chosen savior, and to try and keep you safe, which didn't exactly work, what with you texting and calling my phone as often as you could, Sephiroth's lackeys were able to trace it to find your location." He spoke quietly, running a hand through her hair before frowning at the strands and sighing. "Come on, let's get you inside." She had gone and ruined her make-up and he knew how much she cared for it to be perfect no matter what. "You should clean up some, and I'll get you a glass of wine before I go to bed. "
Andariel: Andariel sighed heavily when she calmed down and put her head up and wiped away her running mascara. She shook her head. "No. Sephiroth found me because I am a high stationed demon and he wanted to...use me to carry out whatever dastardly plan he had to destroy you. What better way to get to Cloud Strife than through the woman closest to him?" She sighed and glanced at his hand entangled in her blood red hair. "I know. You don't like it. But I needed a body. She was all I could find....I'm sorry." She wiped her eyes again and frowned at the mascara on her hand. That had been perfect this morning and her stupid emotions had gone and ruined it. The thought of a glass of wine was the best idea she'd heard all day and she nodded almost too eagerly at her husband's suggestion. "Alright. Thank you, love." Now that she had calmed down she looked up into Cloud's eyes and instantly felt guilty when she saw the dark circles and how dull his normally sparkling blue eyes were. "Darling...I'm so sorry." She reached up and ran her fingers over his cheek and pressed a soft kiss to his temple, wiping off the small amount of red lipstick that was left there with her thumb.
