Parallels Youth Community Outreach Day

One the goals for the Spoken Soul Festival is to support women artists making a difference in the community. Niki Lopez is no stranger to us. She's a Visual Artist, Designer and mom who was one of the sponsors for 2013 Spoken Soul Festival.

Niki has produced a month-long art exhibit “Parallels” at the 1310 Gallery, which combines art, performance, & community outreach. Parallels' community partner is the FLITE Center - a center for foster care teens that prepares them to live successful lives after leaving foster care.

On Thursday, August 1, Niki joins Alana DaCosta in hosting Parallels Youth Community Outreach Day. The teens will have a gallery tour, and paticipate in an I AM creative workshop, taking the first step to being the source of their own destiny.

Niki has been the primary funder for this workshop, and knows that she can reach and help more students with a bit of our support.
