a virtual conference
Space Science in Context (14th May, 2020) is a free, experimental, virtual conference bringing space and science and technology studies (STS) scholars together for an interactive event! Register here at the link.
#SSiC2020 is about space & society - how science can better serve the world, how geopolitics govern science - and also an experiment in conferencing, built virtual from the ground-up pre-pandemic. We are also access-focused and want to push the boundaries of who conferences reach!
We are also seeking e-poster proposals (< 100 words) until April 13th! These will presented during breaks between sessions. We’re not strictly about space science and we’d love to hear about work regarding critical approaches to space, geography, and technology; decolonization or coloniality of space, science, and technology; engagement around physical science; and placing science in a broader geopolitical context.
