Okay, so I got a strange idea. What if there were 4 different versions of the landlady at the lodge, like from different universes. But, the twist is that their personalities were based around the 4 seasons. Like, the main landlady seems to be a spring person. Sometime hot, sometimes cold. But prefers it when things are in between. Also, her real beauty doesn't show until down the line when she gets to know someone better. At least that's how I interpret her.

I love the idea of an AU based on the seasons.  And also your interpretation of the main LL is so spot-on perfect!  I wanna know more about the LL’s from the other seasons!  

Lemme throw some random headcanons at you.

Swapfell Lady would be Winter -- she’s cold and can be harsh, but once someone warm melts her heart, she becomes gentle... something you look forward to.  But if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself skidding across ice, unable to hit the brakes in time to avoid a catastrophe.  

Underswap Lady is Summer -- she brings the heat and you never know if it’s going to be 100 degrees or 60, so you can’t prepare yourself for her moods.  However, like Summer, she can be a lot of fun to be around, and she’s a bit full of herself, thinking she’s the best of all the seasons. 

Underfell Lady is Fall -- she’s gentle and as fragile as the leaves crunching beneath your feet.  She longs for comfort, like an oversized sweater she can sink into.  Her moods are neutral, but sometimes the chill you feel comes from her apathetic indifference.

Is the prize for finding the pickle going to be a kiss? (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I’m compiling a few posts with several answers, but I wanted to do this one separate because I had a few comments about the pickle tradition.  I’m hoping it isn’t too weird that I included it.  xP  It’s personally my favorite holiday tradition, and I think the reactions to it have been pretty funny so far.  Does anyone else do it?

It’s an old German tradition!  My great-grandparents are from Germany, so they passed the tradition to my grandfather, who did it with his kids and then grandkids.  My parents never took to the tradition, but he bought me a glass pickle ornament one year as a reward for finding it in the tree, and now it’s a tradition I passed on to my friends, and they all have their own pickles.  I haven’t put up a tree in a couple of years, but I used to have a Christmas party where everyone would look for the pickle.  It was fun.  Now, the pickle ornament just sits on top of my bookshelf.  

I kinda waffled back and forth over whether or not to include it in SSLL (because I know it’s an uncommon tradition), but this is the first year my grandfather won’t be able to hide the pickle in the tree since he’s bed-ridden, so I kinda wanted a part of him to live in the story.  I hope you guys can forgive the self-indulgence there when I make it up to you with a pickle prize~.

Just wondering how you think your story ssll would go down if the landlady was soulmates with the skellyboys

One big, huge skeleton orgy.  

If she was soulmates with all of them, it wouldn’t go well.  Especially if we’re talking the soul resonance kind of soulmates that I talked about in that one imagine.  On one hand, some of the skeletons (like Sans, Papyrus, Stretch) would be more open to sharing--entirely because they didn’t want their respective brothers to suffer.  

But that many skeletons openly fighting for you?  Your SOUL getting pulled in that many directions?  The ensuing drama?  The way Blackberry would obviously feel like he had some kind of claim--and Axe would probably straight up spirit you away somewhere (though might share with Crooks).  

Yeah, it’d be a real cluster.  Bad Times all around.

Is it all right with you if I make Sims based on the Skeles and Landlady of the lodge? The idea's been tempting me for ages, partially because I want to see various skeles accidentally setting the stove on fire. And I like the challenge of designing sims to suit each one of them.

I’m so beyond down for this.  If you do, will you please show me?  I wanna see!  And I wanna see how they interact with one another!

Hello! I have to say I really love SSLL. Everyone is just so cute and trying their best! Though I'm not fond of her ex as a character. He just seems rather one note. Just someone to get the ball rolling and add conflict later on, rather than a fully fleshed out character. So I'm asking is there ever going to be more to his character? Not a "sad/sympathetic backstory" but something that makes him more than a very one trick pony. If not I understand, it's still an amazing story that I really love.

Well, with the ex, we only really see him at his worst--and through the eyes of the Reader.   Sorry to hear that he comes across as one dimensional.  

Honestly, the ex is meant to be a crappy ex someone reading it might’ve had.  That’s why he doesn’t even have a name; he’s just “the ex.”  I’ve been purposely vague with him.  Maybe that’s just my reader-insert preference, though.  

But yeah, we haven’t seen the last of him, and there’s more to him than just someone hung up on the Lady and trying to keep inserting himself into her business.  We just haven’t gotten back around to him yet.

Hi! Sorry if this is a dumb question but I follow jolies account and I've been seeing so much about Q and grim and different timelines and I'm just a bit confused if it's canon that the landlady in SSLL is going to end up with Q or if that's just a different timeline all together for jolies blog? Just curious!

Oh, it’s a different timeline! There isn’t a set canon for who the Lady will end up with; it’s going to have multiple endings where she ends up with the various skeles so you can choose the one you like the most. The stuff with Q and Grim is from a timeline later down the line where the Lady ends up marrying Q.

When it comes down to it, though, I’ll let you guys interpret her SOUL color.  Since she’s a Reader-insert, as far as I’m concerned, there’s no wrong answer here.
