day 2 - gravity
title: Falling
summary: The entire team 7 is at the training grounds, when he suddenly finds himself staring at her. He doesn’t really understand why he can’t look away from her, but apparently, his loud, best friend does. . Rated K (or F for fluff) . a/n: I thought about this idea while searching Pinterest for some inspiration for the theme (I really had NO idea of what to write) and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. It's simple, cute and Naruto is in it, so... I guess it should be a nice story. I hope you enjoy it and please, forgive me for any mistakes you might encounter. My beta-reader didn't proof-read it for me, but I decided to post it anyway so I wouldn't be THAT late. Have fun!

It had been long four months since they had been discharged from the hospital, and yet, only now they were able to feel their muscles stretching like before. For their injuries during the war had been quite serious— and mostly because their pink haired doctor had kept them at bay— neither Naruto nor Sasuke were sent in any missions, being ordered to stay in the village instead so they could fully recover. The’ve spent months on physiotherapy and on healing sessions at the hospital, and only after begging Sakura day after day were they authorized to go back to the training grounds. However, just because they were back, it didn’t mean they could go full out.
As the strict medical ninja she is, Sakura didn’t allow them more than 2 hours per day at the training grounds. She had also made them a list of what exercises they could do, and by no means, were they to stay out there by themselves. The girl certainly knew better than to believe her two teammates would hold back if they were left alone, so she took it upon herself to supervise their training routines.
No punches, no kicks, no sparing and no ninjutsu. Genjutsus were also off the list, as well as any other kind of move that involved molding a considerable amount of chakra. In other words, they could only do some basic work out. She didn’t want to risk all of those months of intense care just because those idiots wanted a rematch. And even if they both hated her terms, they figured that arguing with her would take them nowhere, therefore, after being scolded at least three times, the boys settled for her rules.
Even if doing some push ups wasn’t enough to satisfy their physical needs, the Uchiha figured that, at least, they could spend some time under the soothing sun.
Spring had arrived Konoha a couple of days earlier than expected, and for the first time, his eyes could truly see the beauty of the fields around him. Flowers were blooming, the grass was green, and soon the cherry blossoms would start falling. A gentle breeze played with his dark locks, and even as he was hanging upside down in order to do some abdominals, Sasuke could see the changes in the world around him.
The village had changed, indeed. Tress had grown taller, new houses had been built and even the sky seemed bluer. People had changed, too. After so long, those he used to call teammates were now true shinobi, each of them with an important role around the village. He was on his path towards redemption, his sensei was going to become Hokage, his best friend was also on his way to the top, and Sakura…
Oh, Sakura.

Title: Even You
Prompt: Gravity
It wasn’t much that she was vain, it was more that she liked to spend time with Ino, and she was the vain one of them. Sakura simply didn’t mind. She loved listening to her talk enthusiastically about a new hair product or a new nail polish trend.
She even loved being her guinea pig when playing with her color scheme. Ino had repeatedly told her how envious she was of her natural hair color; which Sakura was grateful of. Had she paid mind to what the other girls their age told about the same issue; Sakura would never be the confident young lady she was turning to be.
Now with the both of them simply brushing their hair, Sakura could see the smooth and brilliant way her hair fell as a waterfall at her back through Ino’s mirror. She mildly gaped. She remembered once more why she was grateful of Ino’s friendship. She effortlessly made the best side of her stand out.
She walked alongside of her and enjoyed her company just as much as she did hers, even if their interests were complete opposites.
Like how Ino confessed to her that she had been following around the youngest Uchiha because the other girls did rather than it being a thing, she genuinely felt. Sakura had made a big ‘Oh’ expression to which the blonde friend couldn’t help but laugh at and continue to chirp on with a change of topic.
SSM 2020 Day 2
Prompt: Gravity
Summary: There’s only one force strong enough to break his chains: love. Curse mark AU where Sasuke was being locked up because he would go on rampages.
Rating: T.
A/N: I was trying to write this prompt from a different perspective. I probably could’ve made this into a multichaptered story, but I didn’t think it had that much potential. Ok, this is way longer than I had intended hehe. Regardless, hope you enjoy it! As always, feedback is welcome!
Sasuke tries to climb up the sides, as slow as he can, but he can never go past two steps before being dragged back down. He doesn’t know what is tying him down, but it feels heavier than gravity. He can’t remember how long he’s been trapped in this large pit.
The curse mark on his shoulder starts to activate, spreading though his whole body. His hair becomes longer, fangs protruding from the edges of his mouth, eyes landing on a darker shade, nails growing into claws, and wings sprouting from his back. He tries to fly out of the pit, but again with no avail, only manages to hover in the air three feet from the ground, feeling a force strong enough to hold him down. This has to be the nth time he’s tried to escape, always ending up with the same results.
Gravity
My Sasusaku Month contribution for the prompt : Gravity.
I’m sorry for the mistakes, English is not my mother tongue. I hope you like it.

Sasuke was heading for the lake, a potion book under his arm. He needed calm and he could not concentrate with all the noise Kiba and Naruto made. He had to revise for the next class and he knew that at this hour no one would be at the lake. Itachi was the new Potions Master and even if he was his brother, he did not do favouritism and he was not less harsh with him. During the past summer, the Uchiha family had known tensions. Their father had been furious to knew that his eldest son had accepted a teaching position at Hogwarts instead of wanting to run the family business. The Uchihas was one of the most influential families in the wizarding world and it was inconceivable that one of its members would take another path. Despite the arguments between Itachi and Fugaku, Sasuke was not worried. He knew his father would see reason when he would see that his son was much happier. As for Itachi, he would probably end up becoming director of Hogwarts, or Minister of Magic.
Suddenly he saw a shadow flew above his head. He looked up and saw a student on an uncontrollable broom. The student fell on the ground. Sasuke ran. In the distance, he saw pink hair and a dress in the colors of Ravenclaws. It was Sakura Haruno. She was on the ground, her broom several feet away from her. She winced while massaging her arm. Sasuke did not really know her. He knew that she was a Muggle-born, that she and Naruto were friends and that when they were in first year, she was one of his fangirls who followed him everywhere. They had been paired up a few times during the potions class, but he had never tried to start a conversation with her.
‘Is everything alright ?’ He asked.
Sakura opened her eyes wide when she saw that he was speaking to her. She blushed, embarrassed that he had seen her falling.
‘It's okay. Nothing that magic can cure.’
She pointed her wand at her arm and whispered a spell. Her arm healed instantly. Sasuke was impressed. He had heard Itachi say that at the end of their seventh year, Sakura would study with Tsunade Senju, the greatest Medic in the wizarding world. No wonder Sakura was Itachi’s favorite student, Sasuke thought.
‘What you were trying to do ?’
‘I was trying to learn how to fly.’
Sakura spoke so softly that Sasuke had to move closer to understand what she was saying. She blushed more and more and looked away.
‘You can't fly !’ He said stunned.
‘It's the only subject I don't manage to do. This is my last year and I wanted to fly a few meters without falling. But every time I am on a broom, I fall because of the gravity.’
Sasuke wanted to laugh, but stifled himself. It was the first time that someone had accused the gravity from falling of their broom.
‘Did you ask someone to help you ?’
‘Naruto is in the Quidditch team and he wanted to teach me. But we ended up arguing, I got angry and I hit him.’
Sasuke thought about the black eye Naruto had a few days ago. He had refused to say what had happened. Sasuke headed for the broom and picked it up.
‘Do you want me to help you ? I may not be part of the Quidditch team, but I’ve been flying since forever.’
He looked away, not daring to meet Sakura's gaze. He did not know why he offered to help her. It was not like him. But right now, something was attracting him to her. Kind of like a broom that was drawn to the ground because of the gravity.
‘You don't have to help me. I don't want to disturb you.’
‘You don’t.’
Sakura smiled and nodded. Sasuke blushed. He had never seen such a beautiful smile. It was the first time he had felt that kind of thing. They spent the rest of the afternoon together. Then they met the next day and the day after. Sasuke could not help thanking the gravity.
