I'm obsessed with the tiny details on Calliope and Bolt (or Lady and Metalhead as I named them). The thin scratches and rust that you can't even see until you zoom in.
Creatures of Jorvik
Man-Made Creatures Edition
ZONY
This is a pony that is bred from a Zebra stallion and a pony mare. Jorvik typically borrows their own Jorvik Pony for this type of Zony. They carry the striped coat and braying sounds from their sire, while having the small, chunky body of a Jorvik Pony of their dam.
Two can be found at Ydris' Circus of Dreams. One being a brown dun and the other, a light grey. Though these zonies are often rumoured to have a certain glow about them - be it purple or turquoise.
PEPITA
Another strange horse kept at Ydris' Circus of Dreams, being the only one of its kind. It is advertised to be one of the ringmaster's miraculous dreams come to life.
A giant, living pumpkin in the shape of Fjord horse, Pepita has a bright orange-pumpkin body with dark green, vines as their mane and tail. Said to smell of nutmeg and cloves, this creature is incredibly playful and friendly to its visitors.
CALLIOPE
A recent rumour tells of a carousel horse racing through the streets of Silverglade Village. It was said to have a cream coat painted to its wooden body and have a bronzed mane and tail. Ripped purple and pink tassels hung from its frame as a broken pole was splintered.
Oddly enough, Ydris' carousel was missing one of its dancing horses during the time of these rumours. But when asked, the man simply responded with a riddle.
LEBKUCHEN
What started as an old story about a witch's magical creation, this creature has been rumoured through the years to be roaming the countryside of Jorvik, leaving behind the smell of gingerbread.
This creature is a giant gingerbread cookie in the shape of a horse, being lined with frosting and decorated with gumdrops.
BOLT
A creation by Mr. Anwir of the Nightmare Institute - in the hopes of making the perfect steed for riders. An incredible feat, using metal, electricity and a special ingredient to make a fully functional, self-sufficient, robotic horse.
B.O.L.T. eats nothing, but does require recharging and tinkering for upkeep.
Requires monthly check-ups by the Nightmare Institute. Cleaning and maintenance fees are not included in purchase. Do not bathe or feed B.O.L.T. Do not swim with B.O.L.T. Do not get B.O.L.T. wet. Do not attempt to fix B.O.L.T. without a professional's help. Any accidents or injuries are not the fault of Nightmare Institute. All purchases final. No warranties available.
This is what Bolt reminds me of. It's not just that it's a robot horse. It's the way they did the mane and tail.
