Bergères Guerrières Fanart Contest
The results are just in and unfortunately, my piece wasn’t a winner. Congratulations to the winners. This is what I imagined to be Molly, the main character, here as baby with her family enjoying a quiet picnic before war drove them apart.
It’s from a comic called Bergères Guerrières, by the very talented Amélie Fléchais, @ssoja. I don’t believe it’s been translated yet but hopefully they will! The last book has been selected at the Angoulême Comics Festival this year.

Ssoja is my very favorite artist/illustrator of all the time (yes : all the time, forever and ever), and she recently worked on a book : Le Chemin Perdu (I definitely have to buy it) and here is the trailer. She inspires me a lot. I'm always really admirative and jealous when looking at her work. Because it's fragil and assured in the same time. Mysterious and naive. You absolutely and definitely should visit her blog. It will blow your mind with thousand of stars ! (Just kidding, I'm talking about draws, not drugs.).
