The thing about berrykin is that theyre not human, they grow and mature differently. Apple was considered fully self sufficient and capable before Strawberry found her but she resonated with Strawberrys idea of not being alone and taking care of each other

All Berrykin are born as "Blossoms" and later change their name when they find their "Recipe" Orange Blossom never found her recipe leaving her unsure of her sense of self

Ginger Snap is Honeys roommate in Big Apple and Lemons close friend. She is considered odd by her community as she likes to build machines to bake, something that is usually seen as a very personal and intimate experience. Ginger doesn't see the problem though, she puts all her love into building the machines so why should it matter if she uses a whisk or a conveyer belt? She just wants to share her joy with others

Unlike most berrykin Strawberry grew bored of baking the same thing and wanted to try new dishes and flavors

When Huckleberry Bloomed his blossom fell into the river and he was swept away (a tragic but sadly not uncommon occurrence) He then spent the rest of his life traveling upstream in hopes of one day finding his origin bush. Strawberry found him as he passed the nearby Soda Stream and invited him to stay. While Huck still hasnt found his origin bush he has found a home

Blueberry grew up alone in an abandoned mansion in the woods, never venturing from her home and only aware of the outside world through old books in her massive library
