Another surprise art drop for you all! These are my designs for a theoretical Strawberry Shortcake reboot if I were to make one!

(A note to make about Ginger Snaps' design: in the original series she comes from, she was intentionally an ambiguous race. So I did some research and found that not only are ginger snaps very popular in New Zealand, but there is also a large Maōri community! I also did research on Maōri culture and women, no part of Ginger's or any of the other character's designs were an afterthought.)

Today i learned that custard responds by flicking her tail when you say "i love you". My parents experimented and she only does this to things like "i love you" or "good girl"

GUYS she understands what it means and responds 😭 she knows a lot of words but this is the cutest

Unlike most berrykin Strawberry grew bored of baking the same thing and wanted to try new dishes and flavors

I love how most of the time this jackass was just some guy who had beef with this kid because she had better gardening skills than he did. At most, he bothered the main characters and tried to sabotage them for whatever reason.

Then there's this movie where he turns a bunch of kids into slaves by threatening to drop one of their friends and later their boss/father figure into the void of space, not to mention almost destroying an entire dimension. This movie confirmed that this guy was capable of batshit insane behavior.

It’s pretty crazy how this guy’s character goes from zero to a hundred in this movie. It's not made super clear whether or not everything that happened in this movie was real or all a dream, but it's implied that it's kinda both.

I don't think his overall threat level is too high since as soon as the kids were able to distract him and Grapes, they freed Sandman and Charlie, and were able to corner the two. Then Angel Cake sang a single verse of a song and that took them out.

I just found it interesting that for this one movie, they made him do something legit evil. And since these dream builders were kids, they were easy for him to manipulate. The fear of loosing their friend and father figure made them unable to realize this guy was unarmed and outnumbered and that they could easily jump him.

I honestly wish the Purple Pieman was used more overall, like imagine if he was in the 2009 show outside of that one short, that arc would've changed the whole mood of the show, like shit would get real.
