based on your needs and expectations, i feel it would be best to get the 2ds. the 3d is nothing more than a gimmick that may add to the gameplay aesthetic, but not completely necessary. -c-
-c- i personally got the 3ds at launch, and plan to get an xl for christmas, even though i know the 2ds is a more practical alternative. it’s because i enjoy the 3d (and the clamshell design woops), but the 2ds is a great console nonetheless
i think i’m definitely leaning towards the 2ds right now, based on my price range and the kinds of use i’m going to get out of it. i do like the clamshell design more, but honestly i don’t think not having it will bother me much and as i’ve said before the 3d doesn’t really interest me. thank you for responding!
