Today, The Episcopal Church honors St. Andrei Rublev, Iconographer, artist, and monk. This is one of his most famous pieces, depicting the Holy Trinity (which was prohibited at the time).
This icon is particularly beautiful because of the invitation for us to join with the Holy Trinity, there at the table. To have communion with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To partake from the Blood of Christ, the Cup of Salvation.
Holy God, we bless you for the gift of your monk and icon writer Andrei Rublev, who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, provided a window into heaven for generations to come, revealing the majesty and mystery of the holy and blessed Trinity; who lives and reigns through ages of ages. Amen.
