New St Chad's, Shrewsbury by Norrie Porter Via Flickr: This is probably my favourite picture of this historic church. Taken from the Quarry. It's "new" St Chad's because it was built in 1792 to replace the one which Thomas Telford correctly predicted would fall down in 1788. There is a gravestone for Ebeneezer Scrooge in the churchyard, a relic of the 1984 production of A Christmas Carol starring George C Scott, which was filmed in the town.
