In this post, I'm gonna focus on the ✨️byler✨️ stuff from the game.

First, we have Mike worrying about Will and a classic romantic trope. "If you want him, you'll have to go through me."

And this part omg, I can clearly see jealous Mike.

No angst, just them hanging out and playing dnd ❤️‍🩹

And Mike comforting Will, as usual. They are always a "we", they will never let the other alone.

This reminds me to a certain s4 dialogue:

- "We have to kill him": we need to be on guard.

- "And we will": next time it comes, it'll be ready.

Game Observations p3 - FORESHADOWING and clues

This is the 3rd part of the ST Puzzle Tales Observations posts! Today I'm gonna talk about these dialogues that seemed so interesting to me, because they might be foreshadowing some stuff about s5 👀

1) I think Maple Street is such a mysterious place, a mistery that was not fully solved yet. This place has been brought up A LOT of times in the game and the series.

2) THIS part made me ask sooo many questions because, does El have the power to bring flayed people back? Is it something that we could see in s5?

3) Remember Nancy's vision? When she said that all her family was dead? Why did flayed Mike say that his Mom and Nancy are next? What is going on with the Wheeler family?

4) This just adds to the birthday gate theory I'm- 😭

5) "Will was not alone here" Was El talking about the demogorgons or... someone else?

6) This may foreshadow that Will is gonna take advantage of his connection to Henry in s5 (and yes, Mike will agree with that)

7) Not really foreshadowing, but these two are interesting phrases that are kinda out of pocket in the game👀

Part 4: ST PUZZLE TALES Byler Hints

Since you’re sort of (at least to me☺️) the authority when it comes to analyzing the Stranger Things Games, would you want like a mainstream ST game? Maybe after season 5 comes out?

And would you want it to be similar to like the Telltale Walking Dead ones, or one maybe like Life is Strange? Or something else? And would you want the (extended) Party as the main characters like in ST3TG or a different protagonist like in Puzzle Games? Would you want it to go through the entire plot of the series, or take place after (or before)?

Omg I feel so honored❤️‍🩹. I'd love any idea of game for Stranger Things after season five! Those games you mention seem to be sooo realistic and entertaining, it would be so interesting to play something like that with the Upside Down theme. Anyway, I'd love to have the Party as the protagonists, and it would be so much funnier if you could choose a character to play with! If the game is released post s5, I'd like it to take place in that season (or after), cause I think that there are already a lot of games that tell the story from the beggining.

By the way, I still hope that a s4 themed game is released soon (Like ST1984 or ST3TG) :( yup, i'm delusional.

Game Observations Part 2/4- Mike's internal struggle

Well, as you know, when I have free time, I play the Stranger Things official games from Netflix to get some external clues from them. Today it's ST Puzzle Tales turn. (Anyway I'm gonna use some screenshots from the walkthroughs of the pre-s4 version of the game)

This analysis is gonna be soooo long since this game has a lot of interesting stuff, so I'm gonna split this in parts. I'm probably gonna be posting about this game specifically for a few days :)

So, this post is about Mike's internal struggle and how this is shown in the game's story mode.

We see how he's forced to "Grow Up", so that idea gets so deep into his mind and it's thanks to Ted.

We also see that Mike tries to fake a new personality when he meets El and Will in California in s4, which makes this part really curious...

"Lack of personality for so long" when did we all say that Mike's character was being ruined? Since s3.

And this reminds me to that part in "Lucas On The Line" book, where he said that Mike spent a lot of time alone, isolated playing in his basement after the Byers moved to California.

Boy, how can you say it's gross? You literally have a girlfriend.

Unless... you're not used to treat her like that because love is not what you feel. Admiration, could be? Coolness?

I mean, even his sister thinks it's weird that he got an amazing girl as his girlfriend😭

and then we have this VERY direct parallel to M1leven with the "you're my superhero" line, and this is what Jonathan says. Mike, what are you hiding behind that monologue?

Game Observations Part 1/4 - The Characters

there's something really interesting about Mike, Will and El's powers names in the ST Puzzle Tales game.

So, we start with season 4 El: "Rink Rage"

Boyfriend power being related to her being vulnerable and weak?

"Loner" LONER?

Then we got season 4 Mike: "Road Trip"

"From Mike" power activating poison, ok.

"Moral support", for healing other people.

"Road Rage" Oh, so the road trip is really inside of his nerves (or it's probably just referring to Mike being concerned while traveling)

"Love, Mike". he activates that power when he's vulnerable and takes that vulnerability to empower other people. So similar to a certain monologue moment.

Let's go to season 4 Will: "Artistic Flair"

"Emotional guidance" power makes me think about him sacrificing his own feelings and effort to keep melvin floating.

In this season, he was always the emotional support Mike needed. He trusted Will more than anyone else.

But the "Emotional fortitude" power makes me think more about Will's internal struggle. He's dealing with all his feelings and fears alone (until Jonathan talks to him)

Heart-to-heart power? do you want to make me cry?

Also, heart to heart changes the blue dice, it changes the... blue feeling, maybe?

"Feeling Blue" power can be related to Will's feelings, his color is yellow, but when he's upset, he's always wearing blue.

Bonus: season 3 Mike: Boyfriend Material

"Buying some time" ok that's so anti melvin.

"Party player" and "No One Left Behind" powers make me think about will encouraging Mike saying he's the heart of the group, the leader. (Even knowing Will was left behind in season 3)
