what is your favourite Mileven scene, and also your favourite Mileven headcanon scene? x

ANON YOU’RE KILLIN ME HERE BECAUSE HOW DO I PICK JUST ONE? 

Like obviously the La-Z-Boy scene is cute as HECK Plus it’s the one time we see El genuinely happy and laughing and they’re just being adorable goofs together like MY HEART 

The makeover scene will always get me (from the part where Mike is putting the makeup on El’s face and she’s just staring at him contently as he does it to the part when she comes out in her blonde wig and pink dress for the first time and Mike has obvious heart eyes for her in that moment LMAO - plus the infamous “Pretty… pretty good, you look pretty good” line I MEAN, COME ON)

When El returns, saving Mike’s life, and she’s crying about being the monster because she opened the gate, but Mike reassures her that she’s not the monster and she shouldn’t feel bad and they embrace in that lovely lil hug (then Dustin joins in and it’s like FRIENDSHIP GALORE - a cute scene in general honestly)

THE “STILL PRETTY?” “YEAH, REALLY REALLY PRETTY” SCENE BECAUSE COME ON HOW CAN YOU NOT

THE KISS SCENE OOOHHH BOY OBVIOUSLY (the small smile El gives Mike after it happens, the look of relief on Mike’s face after seeing her lil smile, when Mike gets up to go check outside and El just looks after him with that dazed look on her face from what just happened ahhhhhhhh my bbs are so cute!)

It’s just impossible to pick just one??????? I love all their scenes together, they’re so pure and loyal and precious to one another ahhhh 

AS FOR HEADCANONS OOOH BOY that’s a whole other list to talk about, I don’t even know where to BEGIN for that one haha I have a headcanons tag though if you’re down to look through it because everything in there is pretty much A+ quality content (and 99% of it is Mileven based!) (if you’re into headcanons I highly recommend @eggos-and-promises blog because there are SO MANY great headcanons on that blog!!!)

Since season 2 takes place a year later, what if Mike doesn't care about El anymore? What if everyone has kind of forgotten?

Sorry anon, but I just don’t see that being possible! Even with it being a year later, I can’t even begin to imagine everyone (ESPECIALLY MIKE) forgetting??? Or simply not caring anymore??? How could they forget about the girl who saved their LIFE, their BEST FRIEND’S LIFE??? If anything, I think the more time that passes apart from El, the more wrecked they’ll be (ESPECIALLY MIKE OKAY LIKE Y’ALL) 

LIKE LISTEN Mike can’t forget/not care about El anymore, he’s going to be devastated, heartbroken I’m sure - I MEAN, the whole first season they built up this huge connection between them, so do ya really think with time that’ll fade away??? Because I certainly don’t! Even just a few months later, we got Mike looking forlornly at El’s fort, insinuating he still is very much NOT OVER HER LEAVING LMAO My thought is that it just gets more painful for him as time passes on (even if El never came back, I don’t think Mike would ever forget about her, I think he’d always be reminded of her in some way) 

Like okay, I can see maybe the other boys moving on from it (not forgetting though!), just because they might not have had the special connection with her like Mike had. BUT MIKE… COME ON, El was essentially his first love if you think about it! And you never forget your first love! Especially one that sacrificed herself to an evil monster to save your life and your best friends lives I MEANNNNNN that’s a pretty big deal, ya know! I’M RANTING BUT in short, I don’t see this theory/headcanon/idk what ya wanna call it being possible because it just wouldn’t be true to the characters and what they built up with their pre-existing dynamic. WE GOOD? GOOD.

Why is joyce your role model??

I just think she’s such a strong female character! Not to mention an amazing mother! I mean, she cares SO MUCH about her kids - she works long hours so she can provide the best that she can for them, she fights like hell to find Will even when everyone around her is telling her she’s crazy, not caring about what could happen to her/what other people think of her, because if it means bringing Will back safe and alive then none of the consequences matter! Even to Eleven she’s incredibly compassionate and caring, despite barely knowing her! I mean, she reassures her that she doesn’t have to go through with something that makes her uncomfortable, that she can back out of it whenever she wants to, that she’s proud of her no matter what/thinks she’s a really brave, strong girl for doing what she does. LIKE THAT’S SO IMPORTANT TO ME! Because even with her son missing and this possibly being the only way to get into contact with him, she’s still SO understanding and gentle about it. 

Not to mention she doesn’t take shit from anyone - like Lonnie and Dr. Brenner. The scenes when she yells at Lonnie and tells him to get out of her house and when she tells Dr. Brenner to go to hell… I LIVE FOR IT LIKE YES TELL THEM OFF CALL THEM OUT FOR THE SCUM THEY ARE! 

Just… here are some posts that better convey why I have such a huge appreciation for Joyce Byers.

Ooh, that’s a really nice question, I like it! It’s funny, because I feel like from the start, Mike saw something special in her and vice versa - that whole little moment of them just staring at each other after she gets up to go put on the clothes he gave her… like there’s clearly a connection before even properly meeting each other??? Mike also is just a kind-hearted person, so here he was, seeing this random girl out in the cold, pouring rain… so obviously he’s nice enough to take her in and keep her safe in his basement until he can figure out what to do to help her. After they get to know each other, I think it’s pretty clear why Mike loves her so much - she cares about him and his friends, she saves his life, she clearly is very loyal to her new friends and I think he really admires that about her. Her strength, her loyalty… But forreal, I just think they’re really connected. Like I can’t explain it ahhhh 

Also I definitely think the boys will remain friends! They’ve been through so much together, I can’t imagine them ever drifting apart! Like even when they go to college, I can totally see them making the effort to stay in each other’s lives. That’s a bond I can’t imagine being broken by distance or busy lives.

Ooh okay, I hope to see Will bond with El at some point. I’d love for their characters to meet and to see a friendship form between them, especially since they both will most likely have something to relate on (being stuck in the Upside Down - I’m betting that’s where El went) - like if that’s the case, they can understand each other with what it was like out there and I’d love to see them comfort each other when one is getting a nightmare or a flashback or something, ya know? I’d just love to see some Will/El interaction since we didn’t get that last season! 

Most of all… I want Will to be safe and happy but like, knowing the Duffers, they ain’t going to make it that easy on us haha…. can’t wait to die

Hello! How do you feel about the new additions to the stranger things cast?? (for blograte- also you can use my 2nd account to rate better since its stranger things themed, millie-bobby-beautiful)

HEY FRIEND! I’m actually incredibly excited to see these new characters - the character descriptions all sound so intriguing and I can’t wait to see how they’ll fit into the plot. I know some people are wary about characters getting in the way of their ~ships~ but I think those people need to realize the show isn’t just about that! Just because a character is new, doesn’t mean they HAVE to get romantically involved with another character in the show (*Cough*MaxandBilly*Cough*) and I have total trust in the Duffers! Like I don’t doubt that they’ll do amazing things to these characters, give them incredible backstories and personalities! (Until the Duffers can give me a reason to worry, I’m not going to worry. I’m going to sit back and look forward for whats to come!) 

I also see the concern of them putting in too many new characters, which causes the worry that they won’t have enough time to focus on the current characters but I don’t see that being an issue either. Most of these characters seem like they’ll play a role where it can help move the plot forward for the current characters - like reveal backstories of current characters and what not. If that makes any sense?? I don’t know, I’m just rambling at this point lmao

hey! love your blog by the why! not super creative, but which character do you dislike the most in Stranger Things?

HEY and wow thank you so much!!! That means a lot to me :’) (also there’s no such as an uncreative question!) I absolutely hate Lonnie and Dr. Brenner though, ugh… need I say more? 

But forreal, like Lonnie is just scum in general because he acts like he’s so ~nice~ and he ~cares about the family~ but in reality he doesn’t, he only came back for the potential money he could get out of suing the town for Will’s death (ALSO how could you even THINK about a lawsuit when your SON DIED??? like right away your son dies and you’re thinking about MONEY???? yeah, you really care smh) he just makes me so angry, but I’m glad Jonathan and Joyce don’t put up with his shit lmfao GOOD FOR THEM ON CALLING HIM OUT (like I love it when Joyce yells at him to get out and also the part when Jonathan goes over to his house to see if Will is there and he shoves the Missing Persons poster at him and goes “You probably forgot what he looks like” LIKE OOOOOOH DAMN TELL IT LIKE IT IS JONATHAN TELL IT)

And well Dr. Brenner is obvious… he’s manipulative and abused Eleven for her powers like how fucked is that??? He didn’t care about her well being, he just cared about strengthening her powers to use her as a weapon. Not to mention he ripped away any potential childhood she could’ve had away from her like… I hate Dr. Brenner so much for what he did to her. He traumatized her and that makes me SO upset, so angry, because Eleven deserved SO MUCH better.
