May I ask what major u have or what kinda work you do to get such an amazing opportunity like the antartica? And how did you find that job?
I don't have a major, never went to college. I'm going down as support staff, so just menial grunt work! Learned about the station through a documentary called A Year On Ice, and there are a variety of contractors who work with the United States Antartica Program staffing everything from the kitchen, to fuels, to firefighters.
I don't have, nor will I ever have, any particular career path that would qualify me for more.
