completely missed this when it was posted originally, just fount it cause I was checking out your blog. Yeah the site sucks more and more, but it’s still sad to see you go. I haven’t been active either very much, but I still check it out every day. It will be different without you. I hope you find good alternatives, but I’ve heard pillowfort isn’t all that great. Anyway, if there’s anything worth while, let me know. 💗

I’m still undecided, and while I might end up joining PF after all, I’ll try not to get too attached to it. I’ve seen some comments on here about their ToS, or how they’d retroactively terminate blogs with each change in guidelines and such, besides the limitations for file sizes. I wish staff here weren’t willingly screwing up time after time, but that’s too much to ask, I’m afraid (on that note, they gave me the new layout and it sucks, because of course it had to). They can’t fix a glitch that’s been going on since 2020, but they do find the time for this trash.

I’ll keep you updated if there’s anything new on my side. Take care ~

(Not-so) brief announcement

I’ll be retiring from this site. Sort of.

I’ve been here since 2012 and have witnessed plenty of the changes that have taken place since then. From the disabling of fanmail (and the removal of previous messages, which they said were going to be kept, but weren’t), the implementation of NPF in 2017 (which made me stop using the app for anything other than likes), the 2018 fiasco and all other pendejadas that came since then: the new dashboard (ever got a ‘Error loading forms’ message? well, that’s why), some surreptitious changes that went unannounced to users (January, August and October 2021) and the glitchy new Peepr in July 2022.

In good measure, they’ve tried to make the site mimic the app, and have ruined the platform as a result.

If anyone noticed I was barely active, in part it is because I’m busy during the weekdays —and lack of privacy once I’m back home— but, most importantly, because I don’t enjoy the site as I used to.

Staff forcing the nasty new editor upon everyone has been the last straw for me. To paraphrase one of my predecessors, I’m worn down, I’m tired and I’m done.

I won’t delete my blog. If you see it gone, it’s because they’ve taken it down. 

The recent increase in activity from my part is basically me posting whatever content I have in my drafts. I have a considerable amount of drafted posts (over 5U), and scheduled posts for the upcoming months. I might be reblogging as well, but don’t expect any new uploads once the new editor is implemented for me.

In the meantime, I’m preparing uploads of material I had selected, and hoped to post in better circumstances. Architecture, paintings, royalty, historical themes &a. If you’ve followed me for long enough, you know what to expect.

You all take care for me, will you?
