Jesus' resurrection = lottery tickets & booze
over the last few years, our easter baskets and st.nick's stockings have become awesome. (if you're unfamiliar with st.nick's, it's generally a german/midwestern thing that happens in early december. it involves stockings filled with stuff. i understand this is something that doesn't happen everywhere?)
anyway.
my mom the easter bunny/st.nick have traded an excess of candy for booze and lottery tickets. we do still have the obligatory chocolate bunny, and usually a little gift of some sort...and for whatever reason, there is always beef jerky in our baskets/stockings (???).
i finally won $25 on an easter scratch off. (that's where i was going with this whole thing.)
we're clearly not a religious household.
