Mike gets to california before they get out of school the last day and he's like "fuck, shit, there isn't a car to lean against dramatically. My plan is RUINED" and he leans against a street light instead but because it isn't a car they just walk past him bc he blends in with the crowd fksndn

I absolutely love the idea of Mike showing up on a school day. Him sitting on the bus and thinking Will's in Math right now or El said this is when she has lunch. Then getting there and rushing to be early to the school and just. trying to post up and be the Hot Boy From Home. And just. Literally no one notices him. He's just Some Guy With A Shag On A Lamppost (But Where Is His Cigarette?) Will and El walk past him chattering literally about him coming to visit and he is at first like HELLO? and then he's kind of flattered and bashful for a moment-- but Mike Wheeler being quiet lasts only about ten seconds before he's like HEY GUYS LOOK ALIVE WOULD YOU????

I think a Argyle dynamic with the rest of the pizza part could be so chaotic. What in the world have I gotten myself into he thinks. Whats a mind flayer. Why are there grown men shooting at KIDS. What in the hell were these people up to in Indiana. They try to fill him in and he's just like Whats next? Now you're gonna tell me Elle and Will aren't actually twins LOL. and They're just like uh WELL you see. and then he needs a moment to go into a field and yell maybe.

At first he just thinks the kids have a great imagination. And then Jonathan seems to be indulging them a bit too much. And then this other kid comes from Middle America USA and seems to know everything exactly as Will and El do. And then it's the four of them all talking about the same wild things. And then they're on the phone with this other adult-- who just graduated high school and is also talking about the same Mind Flayer... And now Argyle's like what the fuck, gang??? Next there are just grown Federal Agents shooting up the Byers House and he just pulls up in his van like "GET THE FUCK IN!!!" but at the same time is going 90 and slowly turns to Jonathan like: "Uh, Brocacho? I'm starting to get worried. Where is your mom-- and your twin siblings are starting to sound like they aren't making this shit up..." and Jonathan is just like "All I think you can handle right now is knowing my brother and sister aren't twins. And that's that."

Prediction. There's something in the lake idk he passes through something and all of a sudden the water just feels *wrong* he goes to get out of the lake - report back to robin about whatever he went down there to see but he emerges in the upside down. idk there's water in the upside down now fuck it why not

First, I love the idea that water can be the in between for Their World and The Upside Down. Imagine surfacing for air and you've come out on the bottom of a lake??? Oh Steve would lose it. He'd flop onto the ground, gasping for air and just-- Oh, fuck, come on. Nonononononono and he dives back in trying to find the little loophole but can't and is just scrambling at the bottom of a lake with his dying flashlight, bigger and bigger air bubbles escaping from him as he grumbles and groans with frustration-- and just a little fear...

but then he's fine and he finds the way out because nothing else bad can happen to Steve he's already had his bell rung like four times. Let him rest.

It's definitely going to take some adjustment because season 2 was just SO peak for everyone seeing them in a different setting/costume design is always so jarring. But I thought that about the Scoops uniform and now look at me... Although Jonathan's hair really... it's really like that huh

The sub-concern scene is funny! Will probably siting there thinking. Are you serious. The monster that possessed and terrorized me is back, trying to kill us and you're worried about Max and El *looks at notes* gossiping about you? Mike. Oh my god. We have bigger things to worry about then your love life. What's you're main concern then huh? I love you, but right now I'm questioning my choices.

Man I missed most of the new releases and stuff yesterday bc I had a shift at work from 11 to 19 and couldn't use my phone at all. But I SWEAR TO GOD my first thought upon login onto Tumblr and Twitter was just a garbled mess of screaming.

I know there's ppl out there talking about how awful Mike and Will's hairtyles are but tbh? I'm absolutely in love like I want the haircut Mike has wtf? He looks so pretty and so does Will.

Also I really hope this whole Alan Turing project is actually gonna be them saying or at least implying heavily about him being gay/queer. I feel like even if Byler isn't like canon canon, having Will at least acknowledge that part of himself would do miles for the fans.

The wait is a big bummer tbh, but I don't particularly mind solely bc this gives me more time to rewatch s2 and s3 and refresh all the memories. But all in all, I'm just absurdly excited about all the new content we're getting and seeing how the characters have grown especially the Byers now that they've moved to Cali.

Oh babe I love Mike and Will's new hair. Utterly and completely. I'm sorry... I just do alkjsd And I am hoping for the same thing-- that the poster is a little more of a hint than just Will admiring him for being instrumental in WWII (which also is nothing to shrug at either). I just think that such a potent piece of knowledge about him was the mistreatment towards him as a queer person. But who's to say we'll have to see! Either way I'm excited to get some insight into like, a school project and why Will picked him. That's just nice character exploration regardless! The wait will be a bit but I think it's going to be worth it! Just more time to rewatch and enjoy!

i havent been into st for some time now but i was looking at the new trailer and noticed that wills project when he and jane are walking through school is on alan turing which. that has to be intentional

I keep thinking of how that scene is going to go and someone asking "and why did you pick alan turing?" and-- and-- what is he going to say??? it's a normal question to have in that scene-- because you know they'll have it for el and she'll explain about hopper-- and it's just the perfect set up, episode one, for will to begin to have his Journey this season.... it has to be intentional. Not to make a big deal over a poster board we see for one second but i'm just accepting the hints so far and looking forward to how they do it. and i think this is really neat and subtle.

I think the water being a gateway to the upside down is already a thing, isn’t it? Because in S1 doesn’t Barb get pulled into the pool and surface in the upside down?

But isn't the pool empty in the upside down when it switched over to Barb? (I say without looking) either way it did come THROUGH the water so you are right! I was just thinking of the water being like a two way door. Like Steve jumps in feet first and then just plonks out the other end akljdakdslj
