𝗧𝗢  𝗦𝗔𝗬  𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧   ❛  𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗘  𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗  ❜   𝗛𝗔𝗦  𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡  𝗔  𝗚𝗜𝗙𝗧  𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠  𝗚𝗢𝗗   is  actually  pretty  on  the  nose  —      his  father   was  a  god,   was  he  not?      being  a  single  mom  has  been  hard  enough  on  its  own,   but  to  be  a  single  mom  when  you  can   barely  function   is  a  whole  new  ballpark.      while  a  part  of  her  feels   guilty   that  peter  has  to  spend  his  day  with  a  rambunctious  kindergarten  kid,   she  won't  downplay  how   absolutely  grateful   she  is   to  have  him  here.      despite  the  twinge  of  guilt,   she  drags  her  feet   all  the  way  back  to  bed,   feeling  better  knowing  that  somebody's  here  to  entertain  emma.

❝  i  mea  —  ❞   penny's  interrupted  by  a   phlemgy  cough.      ❝  ugh  .  .  .      i  mean  it,   pete  ;      if  you  wanna  go  at  any  time,   y'can  just  wake  me  up.      either  way,   it's   steak  an'   fried  veggies   all  week  for  ya.  ❞      it  still  doesn't  feel  like  enough  to  show  her  appreciation,   but   god,   does  she  ever  need  a  good  and  long   nap.   it's  clearly  shown  in  the  way  she  falls  into  bed  with  dead  weight,   slowly  but  surely  getting  herself  under  the  covers.      ❝  and   please   wake  me  up  if  anythin'  happens  with  emma  —  ❞
