Hey, how uh .how similar is welding to hot glue gun?

If you're interested in welding I can't recommend enough the value of taking like, a welding class at your closest community college. That's how I've learned. You'd start with a class on stick (sometimes that class is called arc/gas) to get the basics, then you could take classes on MIG and or TIG respectively, etc.

For a hot glue gun to be good practice you would need to practice keeping it at a 0-15 degree angle (with 0 being absolutely straight up), staying as close as possible to what you're gluing without touching the surface or getting the tip gunked up, and practice moving in a steady, consistent path. The trigger squeezing would be good muscle work for your grip.

A lot of things!

For one, I kept consistently cleaning it whenever they did it, with enzymes, to try to interrupt the cycle of ‘oh you pissed there? now I MUST piss there!’ pee-war terribleness.

Two, I moved their food and water into the hallway when I upgraded their setup to full ceramic, and cats don’t like to go to the bathroom where their food and water is. So now they were faced with enzyme-steam-cleaned floor with their food and water in the same area.

And three, I finally got rid of all the stuff in the other room that they had peed on before, which I think was encouraging them to pee and poop in front of the closed door to said room, in an effort to cover the smell of the old stuff. It’s all gone now, my mother and I kicked the spare room’s ass when she was here. :>

So a combination of all those. The cats have nothing to pee-war against, and they’re nicely disinclined to start it up fresh all over again with their food right there.
