I got one of those drawing prompt books last year and I'm just getting around to opening it... the prompts are more... abstract than I expected. I chose to draw pokeweed for a representation of my conscience because my moral compass doesn't always point to true north 😅 and pokeweed is a somewhat... chaotic good plant. It's poisonous.... but if you know how to prepare it, you can eat it. And you can make dye out of the berries. It's both useful and dangerous. Instagram / Patreon / Etsy WIP shots and Hi-Res on Patreon First try with gouache. I'm really out of my comfort zone with this so it's fun to explore. So far I have to say I really love the base sketch but the end result (which I will post right afterwards) is way too clean for my liking. It's a process, and it's fun because it pushes me to explore things in a different way The base idea was inspired by @carchcommand for the fragmented bodies as well as @plantgenitals for the moon phrases. I didn't know what to put for a head but the moon phases balanced the composition in a way I really like
