A broken bone is termed as ‘fracture’. A bone may be fractured completely or partially in so many ways, such as crosswise, lengthwise, and in multiple pieces. Certain common types of fractures include:
1). Stable Fracture: When the broken ends of the bones line up and are barely out of place, it is referred to as stable fracture.
2). Transverse Fracture: When the bone has a horizontal broken line, then it is considered as a transverse fracture.
3). Oblique Fracture: This type of fracture has an angled pattern of the broken bone
4). Comminuted Fracture: When the bone breaks into three or more pieces, it is considered as a comminuted fracture.
