SPIRITUAL MEANING OF STACKING STONES

Since ancient times, humans have been stacking stones for various reasons and dealing with spirituality. The practice of stacking stones began over 8000 years ago. Some say the stones are a physical representation of prayer, strength, unity, balance, grounding, and being connected to the earth.

Stacking stones is a way to express ones emotions and a way to connect to nature, spiritually. Different cultures have different spiritual meanings when a person is stacking stones. Some believe when a person is stacking, it marks sacred places and they are a way to communicate with spirits.

Stacking stones is now become a spiritual practice. Those who stack stones assign prayers of gratitude to God to each stone stacked. There are four main styles of stacking stones:

Balance: Stones are laid upon each other flat to a great height.

Counterbalance: Upper stones depend on the weight of lower stones for balance.

Free Style: Mixture of Balance and Counterbalance. This can include creative arches.

Pure Balance: Each stone in near point balance.

SYMBOLIC MEANINGS OF STACKING STONES:

Finding the right Path. Markers to where ou need to go.

Helping others. Helping show others the right way/Path.

Balance. Seeking balance in one's life

Patience. One must have patience in order to achieve balance.

Growth. Small progressions can turn into great things through balance and patience.

Spirituality. Use patience and balance and growth to help achieve spiritual growth.

Worshipping. Worship of God. Each stone is a representation of what God has done for you. Something you are grateful for.

Remembering the dead. Show respect and gratitude for someone who has passed. The stones serve as a memorial for someone who has died.

Strength. Strength together. One can be greater together than standing alone.

Intentionality. Being aware of your intentions, taking careful steps to achieve a goal. One small mistake, could cause everything to collapse.
