2nd Years Performance Is Today
Hi Stage Jam, Just a reminder that the 2nd Years performance RITES OF PASSAGE is today at 2pm. You are all required to be there.
How are you getting on?
Good Morning Stage Jam, hope you all had a lovely Easter!, Unfortunately due to internet errors there appears to have been a malfunction with emails and Tumblr. As a result you have not received any of the messages posted and emails sent. I have now re-sent your new logbook templates which you must now trial if you haven't already begun to do so. We will discuss your discoveries and opinions on the new layout on Monday 28th April. Remember: You are now three weeks into your Showcase process and many of you have contributed very little to your own logbooks about this process. Some of you have done nothing what so ever. Failure to use your logbook and company blog site sufficiently will result in you being taken off the rehearsal floor to complete unfinished work. The first draft of your proposals will be seen tomorrow, Wednesday 23rd at 2pm. Sessions on physical scenes, contact improvisation, Alexander Technique, Trapeze, Mein Herr etc, will take place after we have see your proposals. You will receive further information tomorrow. Please remember that we do not expect finished scenes but all ideas must be fully formed and in a presentable state. It is not enough to simple tell us about an idea that you haven't yet started! You are also required to sell tickets for Mixology and the Beano, see both shows and review them. See you tomorrow.
Call Time For Tomorrow
Stage Jam, Your call time for tomorrow is 11.30am - 12.00pm start, please meet in the foyer. You MUST bring a pen and paper (iPads, phones, tablets etc. are not accepted forms of note books). See you then.
A Pivitol Scene from our Show!
The final scene within our show, it's the scene that sums up the journey that our heroin Scarlett has been on and set's about explaining some of the important morals that we are trying to get across to the children and not just to them but to people of all ages.
Scene 14: Tree Down!
Stickwicket is sleeping on stage. Billy and Baxter come rushing past him confused of which direction to take before figuring it out. Moments later they come rushing back from the way they came and rush back to the palace. Scarlett and the trio come onto stage with Bruce now an inflated mess.
Scarlett: Okay here we are. Mr. Stickwicket, Mr. Stickwicket. Please wake up.
Mr. Stickwicket: What, what! Oh Scarlett how are you. Oh dear who is this poor fellow?
Scarlett: This is Bruce. He’s eaten a poison fruit and now is very sick and may be dying.
Mr. Stickwicket: I see.
Cindy and Mitzie: Mr. Tree, why is inflating like this?
Mr. Stickwicket: Please Mr. Tree is my father. But in answer to your question, it seems that the poison is reacting very badly with him and he’ll keep on inflating until he explodes and when he does the poison will spread everywhere and destroy everything in its path.
Scarlett, Cindy and Mitzie: Oh no.
Cindy: Help him.
Mitzie: Yeah help him.
Mr. Stickwicket: I can’t I’m afraid, without the permission of the King and Queen.
Suddenly the King and Queen come in with Billy and Baxter.
Billy and Baxter: Du, du, du, dah! The King and Queen of the Blue Lands!
King: Oh I feel all embarrassed now.
Queen: So are you the ones that have been causing all the trouble.
Cindy, Mitzie and Bruce: Yeah!
King: Well then, we are willing to help your poor inflated friend if you are willing to except a few things.
Cindy, Mitzie and Bruce: Like what.
Queen: You most realise that sharing is caring, and that nature is something that is not to be taken for granted.
King: That you must treat others as equals and with respect and learn to dismiss you’re selfish ways.
Cindy, Mitzie and Bruce: Okay, we promise.
King: Very well then, I am ready to help him. What about you dear?
Queen: So am I dear. Mr. Stickwicket? Are you willing?
Mr. Stickwicket: I am your majesty.
King and Queen: Understood. Goodbye Mr. Stickwicket
Billy and Baxter: Goodbye Mr. Stickwicket
Mr. Stickwicket: Goodbye your Majesty’s. Goodbye boys. Bruce my lad, if you’d like to come to me.
Bruce goes over to Mr. Stickwicket as Scarlett looks at the King, Queen and Billy and Baxter confused.
Scarlett: I don’t understand! Why are you saying goodbye?
Queen: All will become clear soon my dear.
The land begins to shake and quake.
Scarlett, Cindy and Mitzie: What’s happening?
King: Mr. Stickwicket is healing Bruce, and that’s quite a shaky business.
The shaking stops and Bruce falls out completely fine.
Mr. Stickwicket: It is done.
Cindy: Bruce, Bruce! Are you all right?
Mitzie: Talk to us!
Bruce: I’m fine. I feel perfectly fine. I don’t understand, what happened to all the poison?
Mr.Stickwicket: I absorbed it all.
Bruce: But why would you do that. Now you are going to get sick and die. Why would you do that for me, after what we did?
Mr. Stickwicket: Because young Bruce, sometimes it’s important to not be selfish and put others before yourself and above all to realise that actions have consequences. If you do something bad, you must be prepared to pay the price. I have decided to spare you this by paying the price for you this time around.
Scarlett: But no you can’t. Why?
King: Because Scarlett, it’s just his time.
Scarlett: Time for what?
Mr. Stickwicket: To be at peace. You see child through this sacrifice, I will restore both lands to their former beauty, with the hope that you will all make the right choices this time around.
Scarlett: But why?
Mr. Stickwicket: Because sometime you need to make sacrifices in order to get a happy ending.
Scarlett: I understand. I will miss you Mr. Stickwicket and thank you for everything.
Mr. Stickwicket: That’s quite alright Scarlett, and remember, always be who you are and believe in yourself. You are a smart and creative girl and you are the one who brought both these lands together in perfect harmony and you did it by just being yourself. Never forget that.
Scarlett: I won’t. Goodbye Mr. Stickwicket.
Mr. Stickwicket: Goodbye my dear. Goodbye!
He closes up and rests in peace.
Baxter: Look the Land’s are being restored. He did it. Everything’s alive and beautiful again.
Scarlett: Well I hope you’ve learned the error of your ways guys.
Bruce, Cindy and Mitzie: We have Scarlett. We have.
Scarlett: Good!
Bruce: Um Scarlett. I know I’ve been unkind to you and I know I haven’t been a very good friend. I know I don’t deserve an apology, but if you could find it in that big heart of yours, I would like you to forgive me for being a big Meany. I’m sorry Scarlett.
Cindy and Mitzie: We’re sorry too Scarlett!
Scarlett: That’s okay! I forgive you! Friends?
Bruce, Cindy and Mitzie: Friends!
They all embrace in a big hug.
Billy and Baxter: Aww, Group Hug!
Billy and Baxter run over and hug them as well.
Cindy: Who are they?
Billy: I’m Billy!
Baxter: I’m Baxter!
Mitzie: Billy! So you were telling the truth.
Scarlett: Yeah!
Bruce, Cindy and Mitzie: We’re sorry for that to!
Scarlett: Forgiven!
King: Aww, that’s nice init!
The group open up to them and the King rushes in and pulls the Queen in with him. They all embrace in a hug.
King: Let’s capture this moment! Selfie! Hey, there’s only one way to end a happy ending like this!
Everyone: What?
King: Let’s boogie!
They all break out into dancing as the show comes to an end!
An Inhospitable Environment!
Hey, guys I don’t know about you, but I’m beginning to think that the heating condition in the HND room may not be suitable for us in the foreseeable future. I think it’s just a matter of getting some sort of heater/generator or anything similar to help warm the room up because if we continue to work in the cold there is a good chance we could end up becoming ill etc. Let me know what you guys think, and who you think we should contact. I am right or just being melodramatic?
