For my nutty and awesome friend Erin's Staggette, she needed some nutty and awesome tee dresses made for her! So my very talented graphics designer friend, and fellow bridesmaid, designed the image for the tee. And I went to Zellers to find XXL cheapie cotton tees to sew down to size and make cute little dresses out of them. They are super easy to make and require very minimal sewing (WHEW!).
-find XL mens tee (make sure length of tee is long enough to cover your bum, or not, depending on how you roll *winks*)
-cut off collar of tee to desired collar type (wider cut from shoulder-to-shoulder means wider collar)
-pin down the side of your tee to fit your body. Easiest (laziest) way is to put on tee inside-out and have someone pin the sides down for you. Or you can always measure your bust, waist and hips and transfer those measurements to the tee. Make sure tee is inside-out when you do this.
-using fabric chalk or a pencil, outline the area you want to sew. Pinning the tee down first will help this process and to make it easier to sew.
-sew along the line you just drew on tee and then cut off excess fabric.
-flip right-side out and VOILA! You got yourself cute little tee dress that you made all by yourself ♥
*extra bits -sew some ribbon and ruffles to tee because ribbons and ruffles make life better :)
