5 things I like about myself, huh?

Well, I really like my sense of humor. I start laughing at my own jokes before I even finish getting them out. I love how quick I am to laugh and smile.

I like how quickly I make new friends, how amiable and understanding I can be. 

I like how quickly my brain picks up languages, and how I’ve never let a measly language barrier stand in the way of my incessant blabbering. 

I like my sense of adventure, how I’m always ready to try new foods and go to new places. I love how I used to go exploring with my friends when I was little, and come back home covered in mud and wild berry juice, with a jar full of tadpoles in one hand, and a makeshift sugarcane fishing rod in the other.

And honestly, I like my height and my body. Even though I’m short, I feel powerful, like I could just go out there and kick some serious ass… I usually don’t realize how much shorter than other people I am until someone else points it out. I guess I feel like I’m on the same level for everything else, so height doesn’t seem important to me?

Because sex demon Nagisa is practically canon in the fandom, but we still view Nitori as a fragile, dorky little duckling?

It's strange and amusing to think that the creators canonly think that Nagisa is very innocently oblivious, and the rest of Tumblr took that idea and flung it off the nearest cliff.

On a completely unrelated note to your reply, though, I've been thinking about myself and my strict standards when it comes to NagiRei stories as compared to my much more lax and looser standards with ReiGisa stories. (Though, to be honest, as long as they're together and happy, I don't really care who "tops.")

Although I, too, am guilty of skewed character portrayal and OOC characters in some of my fics, I think what repels me most from some NagiRei stories is the extremely aggressive and pushy way Nagisa acts with Rei when he wants to have sex. He cajoles and persuades, of course, but it's always so strong and insistent to the point where it becomes uncomfortable for me. On the other hand, most ReiGisa fics I've read (and remember) express Rei as the same worried, gentle, and perpetually concerned about Nagisa's comfort and well-being kind of a guy.

Still, I understand that my bias is unfair, because I am far more willing to forgive and turn a blind eye to less-than-accurate portrayals of Rei and Nagisa in a ReiGisa fic than a NagiRei one. I am ashamed to admit it, but even having said that, it's not as if I will tolerate fics that are so blatantly OOC that I'm not even sure what the point is anymore.

Generally speaking, I have high standards, and I uphold them except in times of great desperation.... No matter what, though, I definitely prefer stories where both of them are true to their character, regardless of who sticks what into where. My perfect ideal is a story in which the idea of who "tops" or "bottoms" doesn't even matter.

Anyway, I didn't mean to run off on this post, but I had just been thinking a lot recently. /stares off into the distance

7. What is the most physically painful experience you've ever had?

   One time I had cramps so bad it felt like I was being anally fisted and the hand up my ass was trying to claw my uterus inside out

8. Happiest memory?

   I have a lot of happy memories, but not one that stands out. It's probably some time I was with my friends

9. How loud or quiet do you sneeze?

 Sometimes I sneeze really loud, but most times I just do tiny sneezes

10. Have you ever skipped class? What did you do instead?

  Never skipped class, twice my mom told us my siblings and I were playing hooky (I didn't even know what that was), but I feel like she just didn't want to take us to school.

11. What's your most prized possession?

  I don't really feel like she's a possession, but I have this doll, her name is Sarahbee (my mom tricked me as a kid and the name stuck). She's more like my best friend, I've had her since I was at least 2 and we talk. She's sweet and she cheers me up when I'm sad and is always there for me to celebrate or grieve. My parents used to be upset that I still take her everywhere with me at my age, but she keeps me happy, helps when I'm depressed, and I've never done anything self-destructive or harmful, so they eventually let it go. She's my little light that keeps me safe and mentally stable, and she's the best part of me and one of my bestest friends.
