He never actually lost it, he's always has it. Greg and him just claimed he lost it (I don't remember exactly why, it's been a while since I've seen House Guest)
I remember Steven was doubting himself when he tried healing Greg’s leg (and he lied about it not working), but at the end of the episode, they never really clarified if he was able to do it again (ie. the large sphere that he wasn’t able to fix closed). Plus, we have never seen him try to use that ability after that episode :U

Hm hm, that sounds about right...but with the way he’s been gaining/controling his powers more, I’d have thought that he would be able to continue using his healing spit (even if Greg told him the truth :U)

Yeahh, in that one episode after Lapis Lazuli flies off, and Greg stays with the Crystal Gems coz he broke his leg :U
