I'm really looking forward to summer and before that, getting to swim on vacation this year.

I'm extremely superstitious. I believe in cosmic luck and am fond of wearing nazars to ward off anything bad.

11: what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?
The two of us are both artists and great enjoyers of music. Unfortunately, we also have a similar temper. (easy to agitate)
Zeeyal is a lot more poetic than I am and highly confident. He's also really violent and has no qualms about murder. Classic pirate behaviour.
I think we'd get along somewhat if we kept the conversation related to art and the sciences.

Zeeyal will often flirt with or be very affectionate physically towards people he cares about. If they're partners or even very close friends, he might even sing to them as a gesture of love.
He tends to be rude to people he doesn't like, often posturing with his crest or calling them insulting names. This gets him into a lot of fights at bars.
N'varr
22: do they sleep well at night?
He sleeps pretty heavily unless he's in a really unfamiliar area, then he needs some time to adjust.
It tends to make him a little cranky so he's not super adventurous on his own.
31: do they like receiving gifts? giving gifts? what is their ideal gift?
N'varr likes receiving a small amount of gifts at a time. A huge number or very large gifts make him feel overwhelmed.
He tends to give things he's foraged or hunted as gifts to people he likes. E.g. pretty stones, wild herbs, seeds, and animal pelts.
His ideal gift for himself is something useful, like tools or food. He's simple that way.

Snatanhì prefers knives over arrows or spears. He has really bad aim with projectiles, so he feels like he has better control over something handheld. His favourite one is a dagger made from volcanic obsidian.
17:how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?
He spent a lot of time climbing the tallest trees he could find, usually in search of new kinds of fruit and nuts.
He also liked riding on the back of his uncle's direhorse whenever the clan traveled. He considers her to be the fastest animal in the whole herd.
23:how would you describe their voice? can they sing?
He has a soft but low voice with a feminine affect. Not the best singer, he has some difficulties staying on key.

Meta Ask Game: If your character isn’t designed for shipping/isn’t interested in shipping, how hard does fandom have to mangle them to make them shipping material/open to a relationship? AND What would their haters dislike about your character? Is it a petty complaint? A mischaracterization of the character or their intentions? For Beryl, everyone's darling.
Fans would have to completely ignore his asexuality (common enough in fandom already) and make him just gay. They probably wouldn't like his canonical love interests either as they're both fat.
He'd end up getting shipped with either Jakarr, his bodyguard, or his adopted father (god forbid) in one of those abuser/abusee type of old style ships. He'd probably get super feminized or "uke-like" as well.
I think haters would treat Beryl like they do female characters and really mischaracterize him. They would call him weak and ineffectual as a prince. They would see his decision to go back to his abuser as a personal failure and sign of bad writing, without understanding his personality or feelings.

I very much don't care for the playing house style of found family. Not every group of people needs to slot into a "mummy, daddy and their littles" dynamic. It's very tiring.
