Clone Wars really grew up along with its audience over the years, and now that 99% of those who grew up with it are adults now, I'm sure the new episodes will be no different. And besides, contrary to popular belief, Disney shows can get away with...A Lot. Gravity Falls comes to mind as a Disney show that was rather infamous for having many "how the FUCK was that allowed?!?" scenes lol. Even Rebels, while not being as dark, still had some pretty messed up scenes. Seventh Sister's death anyone?

It’s true, Disney is pretty open to some really serious and dark content that makes you wonder how children are able to keep up with it. 

Frankly, I feel that it would be a disservice to the tone of the show if they were not to continue with that they had established in the later seasons. Being that things started getting a lot more desperate, tragic and heart breaking as the war continued to go on.

I swear to God the fucking D-SQUAD ARC didn't even get this much flack and it was WAY more tedious than people claim this one is, like people definitely complained about D-Squad too but I don't remember anyone writing whole articles about how the show was supposedly ruined because of droid politics or whatever. At least this arc didn't have a month-long mid-season break in the middle of it lmao.

some youtuber compared this arc to the d-squad arc and i lost it.

i think part of it is just like… a cultural shift. people have always hated things, but hating things is so different in the year 2020. everybody feeds off hatred now. like, if they don’t go off about something they hate at least five times a day they will Die. and nobody can hate something just bc they hate it anymore. they need to write a video essay on all the reasons it is Objectively Bad. and nobody can hate something and keep their mouth shut about it. they need to let everyone know they hate it and Everyone Else Must Hate It Too.
