As I’m pumping gas an older man approaches, hovers behind my car for an awkward amount of time fidgeting with something that I can’t quite see. Maybe he just landed there by coincidence, maybe he’ll move on without saying anything to me. Wrong. He moves in closer and extends his had to me. In his hand is a box.
Creeper: Here...
Me: *Leaning back in confusion* What? No.
Creeper: Here just take it
Me: *Continues to pump gas* I’m okay.
Frustrated, the creeper opens the box on his own. Inside is a gold herringbone chain that has somehow escaped the 90′s without a scratch. I immediately give the creeper a well deserved stale face.
