Fight ResultsBellator 150
Rebecca Ruth won by unanimous decision over Lena, last name initial O
Just gonna spare everyone this time (Ovchynnikova)
Chuka Willis wins by unanimous decision over Gaston Reyno
Kendall Grove showed up defeating Francisco France by KO in the 2nd Round
Dave Rickels TKO'd his way to a victory in Round One over Bobby Cooper
And in the main event...
Cheick Kongo wins his bout by split decision
UFC Fight Night 84
And you get a decision and YOU get a decision.. and YES YOU get a decision
Is pretty much how the night went too
To recap would be less than exciting, so I'll break only the MAIN CARD down like this....
Gegard Mousasi, Tom Breese, and Brad Picket
All won by version of a decision
And... as for Silva vs Bisping...
We'll get to more about that in a bit
Get This
Fighter about to get interviewed
Fighters public relations team tell reporters they can NOT ask the "said" fighter about fighting
Ummmmm, can I ask her about her teeth situation then?
Sooooo
The media apparently CAN ONLY ask Ronda Rousey about, the weather, her day and maybe the Oscars, assuming it is not a movie that includes fighting
Depression is a serious thing...
But how is her PR team helping her by keeping her IN the lime light
Our thoughts...
Back away, stay off the TV, and don't schedule media days
I mean seriously....
You can't agree to do an interview and then ask the questions too
You get what you give
Chael Sonnen dominated Anderson Silva for 4 plus rounds until being caught in choke
Chris Weidman beat Silva TWICE
To beat Diaz, Silva popped boner pills
And Now
UFC Fight Night 84
Silva vs Bisbing
First 2 rounds Silva does nothing, while Bisbing pushes forward
Round 3, Silva is winning and then Bisbing gets distracted by a lost mouth piece
Takes a flying knee to the face with seconds to go
AND instead of finishing his opponent
Silva runs to celebrate, hops up on the cage even,
BUT HOLD UP, the fight is still going and was never stopped
Simply the round ended
The bell chiming just as Silva served up the knee and Bisping dropped
Whew....
Round 4
Bisbing pushes with the urgency of someone who was almost knocked out
And Silva took another nap
Round 5
Silva showed up and shows that when he wants he can dictate the fight
HOWEVER to little to late
All 3 judges, scored the fight, 3 rounds to 2 for Bisbing
Since his 1st loss in THREE losses in 4 fights...
Silva has made accusations of corruption
He even shared he was worried that he may have "re-injured" his surgically repaired leg in the first round and that it slowed him down as a result
Well...
What he didn't do is look at all the missed opportunities..
He has one win, just ONE win, in his last 4 fights
And that's provided we look past the no contest ruling that resulted in a year long suspension..
At the end of the day we wonder if Silva cares about doing his best anymore
The show is there but it looking like a flop
The C is For Conor
Nate Diaz is trying to keep up with the trash talking
but that was short lived and now Diaz and his camp are accusing Conor using steroids
He's also admitted that he might get merked or is it murked with a "U"
Either way...
I DON'T TO HEAR THIS DIAZ!!
I need you to bring it - trash talk and all
Is it just me or has the trash talk between the two only been one sided... ??
Diaz, YES, you may be getting "merked" with an "e" verbally
BUT PLEEEZE don't leave in the hands of "murked" with an "u"
Sigh
Does Diaz have a chance? I don't know...
Maybe
But he best be on his "A" game that's all I'm sayin' (with an apostrophe at the end and no "g")
Spend Your Money On UFC 196
Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz at 170
The only time a non-title fight makes you forget about a title fight... is when the non-title fight includes the mind games, and constant self promotion by Conor McGregor
Who else is on this card...
Well let's not forget the Women's Bantamweight Title Belt gets is first defense from a new title holder
Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate
Tom Lawlor vs Corey Anderson looks to be interesting
And I'm secretly having mixed feelings about the prelim fight between Diego Sanchez and Jim Miller
I'm a Diego fan but I missed the fighter from back in the day I must say
His record has been sporadic
But we will still be checking out his fight in the early prelims on Fight Pass
Bellator 151
Let's see if Bellator can recover...
Coming up this Friday March 4th in Thackerville, Oklahoma
Bantamweights Darrion Caldwell and Joe Warren will be meeting in the main event
Darrion is coming off 8 straight wins against some no joke competitors like Shawn Bunch and Rafael Silva
But Joe is no joke either, he has four losses but also has 14 wins
This should be interesting...
Also I must add, former NCAA Wrestling Champion Bubba Jenkins, 10-2
From Arizona State University, where I'm from
Will ALSO be fighting on the card Friday Night against Goiti Yamauchi
Who happens to have an impressive record as well at 19 wins 2 losses
Looking past your next fight might cost you
As Jon Jones goes back and forth with DC leading up to their rematch at UFC 197
Jones shared he has nothing to prove with his rematch against DC
The rematch Jones is looking forward to is with Alexander Gustafsson
Who fights Glover Teixeira June 20th at Fight Night
Lets hope Jon Jones can stay out of trouble long enough to fight DC, before scheduling his next rematch.
Oh and Jones, Luke Rockhold is calling you out.
Even though Luke has a rematch with Chris Weildman at UFC 199
I really hope everyone is preparing and ready to fight.
Upcoming Events
March 4th Bellator 151 Warren vs Caldwell
March 5th UFC 196 McGregor vs Diaz
Invicta FC 16 on March 11th
On March 12 WSOF 29 Justin Gaethje and Brian Foster will be fighting in the main event for the Lightweight Title
