Michael Page delivered the most devastating, skull shattering knee I've ever seen

Earning MVP a 2nd round KO

And can we just talk about that skull crushing knee please!

Immediately following the blow to Cyborg

He dropped in pure pain and agony and was NOT defending himself!

I don't know if any of you saw the photo but it was a nasty fracture to the skull

NASTY!

And guess what...?

Now Cyborg thinks he will fight in 3 to 6 months

Um dude, your forhead and brain have just become one

I'm thinking you need more then ice and to walk it off

Go lay down!

Francis Carmont slipped the Brabo Choke on Mr Klinger for a 1st round win

Stage 3 clinger was avoided

Matt Mitrione and Oli Thompson both can take a punch

Fortunately for Matt, he was throwing more than one punch

And pulled out the 2nd round with a TKO

Jon Jones is still trying to sell us on his innocence

How about we see Jon Jones fight Brock Lesnar while they are suspended

No drug testing... just GO

AND WHILE WE'RE AT HYPOTHETICALS and DREAMING

What about a league or division with no testing

I'm not sure morally where I land with this, but clearly there are fighters that wouldn't care and fans will pay

Fans have shown they do not care if their athletes use PED's to hit home runs or knock someone out

Why is Crissy Cyborg not the most hyped female fighter in the world?

So why is she not the face of women's MMA

Joe Lauzon tells MMA Junkie that calling out fighters is stupid and annoying

He keeps in shape so when the phone rings he can show up and fight

In the McGregor era, fighters now beg, plead, cry and complain in an attempt to land the best fight for their legacy, wallet or easy win

Everyone wants to fight Conor and if he loses again, that money train will come to a stop pretty soon

Bisping is seen as an easy way to win a title and everyone has called him out

Heck, GSP even thought about a come back for the chance at a quick title grab

And why not?

The sale of the UFC really happened this time.

And it sold for 4 BA-ZILLION dollars

Sounds like Dana White’s cut is north of $300 MILLION dollars

Dana also received a 5 year contract to remain with the UFC

He stands to make roughly 18 MILLION a year

IF what we READ was true

So what now? What is next for the UFC?

And what ABOUT the UFC is worth 4 BA-ZILLION dollars?

We have to think the new owners have big plans and possibly a new vision

The Week of UFC 200 was an amazing week

But… the best fights may have taken place a day or 2 before UFC 200

Thursday at UFC Fight night

Eddie Alvarez shocked everyone when he knocked Rafael dos Anjos out in the first round

WINNING the Lightweight Title

A lot of people… including Eddie Alvarez… thought dos Anjos might be unstoppable

In the CO-Maine Event

Roy Nelson took one of the hardest…

If not THE hardest punch…

In the history of punches from Derrick Lewis

After a dominate first round, Derrick Lewis said “I just can’t”

And Roy Nelson controlled rounds 2 and 3

Well…so we thought buuuuttt…

APPARENTLY the judges thought Derrick won 2 of 3 rounds

Giving him the official split decision victory

AND THEN… Derrick… not feeling so hot about how things went down

Asked for the opportunity to AVENGE his victory

How does that work?  Are we even hyped about a fighter AVENGING a win… Hmmm

Joseph Duffy pulled off a first round win over Mitch Clarke with a rear naked choke

Friday we had the UFC 200 Weigh ins and The Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale

The Weigh-ins were not that exciting

But to maybe no one’s surprise

Johnny Hendricks DID NOT make weight!

He was really close no burp could save him!

In missing weight… he gave up 20% of his purse

Soooo Friday Night, we had TUF 23 Finale

Arguably the best fight of the week

Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeats Claudia Gadelha by decision

The first 2 rounds Claudia was able to take Joanna down with ease

In round 3, Claudia’s energy quickly disappeared and like a champion Joanna kicked into another gear

Rounds 4 and 5 was all about Joanna beating up Claudia

Props to Claudia though, because anyone else would have been finished

But Claudia survived all 5 rounds

Your TUF 23 Champions

Andrew Sanchez and Tatiana Suarez

Of the 2, Tatiana looked the most impressive

Doo Ho Choi quickly knocked Thiago Tavares out

Gray Maynard dominated Fernando Bruno

Winning by unanimous decision

Gray looked like the Gray of old

AND Kevin Lee knocked Jake Matthews out in the first round

And Now UFC 200

Leading up to this dang thing there was more drama than a Jerry Springer show during ratings week

Anderson Silva in on 2 days notice y’all

Amanda Nunes came out aggressive and beat Miesha Tate

Miesha gave up her back

Nunes choked Tate out in the first round

Brock Lesnar coming back after 5 years

Dominated Mark Hunt for 2 rounds

I mean… say what you want buuuutttt most believe in ring rust

and Brock D O M I N A T E D the 8th ranked heavyweight in the UFC

DC has taken a lot of slack, mostly from Cowboy Cerrone for taking the safe approach against Anderson Silva

DC won all 3 rounds taking the decision victory

Anderson looked really good all things considered

You know, recent surgery

2 days notice

oh and fighting the best Wrestler in the UFC

AND jumping up in weight

Aldo and Edgar, what is there to say

Some people really liked Aldo’s performance

Buuuutttt….

this was a slow and boring fight (like the first time… ahem)

Aldo is clearly Edgar’s kryptonite and won by unanimous decision

Cain is back y’all!

He looked like the Cain of old and heck even had new tricks!

He added head kicks and then won with a  first round TKO over Travis Browne

Get it!

Julianna Pena pulled out the unanimous decision win over Cat Zingano

Johny Hendricks in recent fashion lost the fight with the scale and then again with his fight in the octagon.

Kelvin Gastelum won via unanimous Decision

TJ Dillashaw won via unanimous decision over Raphael Assuncao

Sage Northcutt somehow escaped a deep arm bar to win by unanimous decision

Joe Lauzon took Diego Sanchez out with a first round TKO.

Someone needs to renegotiate

Former Champion TJ Dillashaw made $50,000

Sage Northcutt made $100,000

Joe Lauzon made $108,000

and in a loss Diego Sanchez made $80,000

I assume TJ has fired his agent, because if he lost he would have only made $25,000

Maybe hire Brocks agent.  He made a smooth 2.5 million win, lose or draw.

Are you surprised or disappointed?

What is left to say about Jon Jones

He has one of the weakest minds in MMA

It would appear 0 will power when it comes to drugs

We already knew Jon Jones is comfortable, willing and highly qualified to let the UFC and MMA world down

He's done it a number of times

There is something about Jon Jones that people are intrigued by

Allowing fans and the UFC to give him a pass every time

Jon Jones will do illegal drugs, count the times

Jon Jones will leave the scene of a crime, I think twice that we know of

Jon Jones will fight dirty, see his kicks to the knee

Jon Jones will bail on a fight, see canceled UFC pay per view

Jon Jones will disrespect his opponents, just ask him about DC

Jon Jones will leave us all wondering what could have been

Jon Jones needs help

The definition of insanity, trying the same thing over and over again expecting different results

I'm ready to move on people, are you?

No Benjamins in this Mirs reflection

We're not a Frank Mir fan, but

Professional athletes are people with real lives

Frank Mir failed a drug test

Winning him a 2 year suspension

We would be in full agreement if the suspension kept him from competing

His suspension goes beyond fighting, he can't broadcast either

Who knows if anyone wanted to hear his opinion, but to prevent him from talking about the sport he dedicated his life to

Not sure we agree

Being under contract with the UFC

Frank Mir has limited opportunities to earn an income comparable to what his expenses most likely are

We're not saying we feel bad for the guy, but

Should he be penalized, to the extreme, that he is not able to work at all?

The cost and time to appeal has Frank Mir asking for his formal release from the UFC.

Being released will allow Frank to pursue work fighting or broadcasting outside of the USADA control.

Frank only has a few years of earning potential as a fighter and he's trying to make the best of a bad situation

The UFC can't have a real plan for Frank Mir 2 years from now

So why wouldn't they grant him his release?

Heck are the results even accurate?

Conor McGregor

Naked on ESPN the Magazine

Editing his workout tapes  to look more impressive (If you believe the rumor mill)

Dustin Poirier admits that Conor was in his head before their fight

Conor still worried about his promotional obligations for UFC 202

Coach of Jose Aldo feels the loss to Conor was what Jose needed to get remotivated

Jose stated he will not retire until he is able to fight Conor again.

At what weight would that end up being, we wonder

Brock Lesnar

Easy to hate, I know

But why?

He won a title with very little MMA experience

He is tied for the most title defenses in UFC heavyweight history (2)

He did not dodge a fight before or after his serious health issues

The first person to take Shane Carwin out of the first round

and the first to beat Shane Carwin

Haters right now will argue that the fight should have been stopped in the first round

Maybe So

But, who before or after Brock Lesnar was able to take all those punches from Carwin and able to stand up to keep fighting?

Most would be out cold

So here is where some will point out about his lack of punch defense

And okay????

He lost to Mir, Cain and Overeem

Re revenged his loss to Mir and losing to Cain and Overeem in his 7th and 8th fights EVERRRRRR

So why all the hate?

Is it envy?

Is it jealousy?

Is it shock and aw?

Brock is an amazing athlete

Brock sells tickets and maybe people want to see him lose or say I told you so, but at the end of the day

All the negativity people throw his way, he is able to cash it in

Just look at those pay per view sales

All that stuff said, I expect a walk off from Hunt at UFC 200

UFC 200 has been so long in the making that both Kevin Gastelum and Johny Hendricks made weight!

This fight has been so long in the making that someone has retired, come back, started and stopped a professional boxing career (well... we think)

So yeah, hope for the best....buuuuut

With all the Oprah-esk fight giveaways going down...

You get a fight and you get a fight and YOU TOO get a fight

The UFC 200 bubble was bound to burst in some way

AND guess who busted it THIS time

Fighters asking for or demanding fights has been the cool thing to do in 2016.

Everyone still wants to fight Conor

With Bisping smashing Rockhold, everyone now thinks they are a shark and Bisping is the pray.  

Heavyweights see a fight with Fedor or Lesnar as an easy win and a huge pay day

Rampage has mentioned fighting Tito Ortiz, Fedor and Matt Mitrione

Someone I know would love to see Fedor take on Lesnar, if for no other reason to add Fedor to Brock's win list

Oh you know everyone will pay to see it, soo why not

After assuming the fetal position from a right hand from Carl, a quick recovery, and a change of positions, Matt Mitrione does quick work in the 1st round and KOs Carl Seumanutafa 

Michael Chandler GOT 'EM, meaning Patricky "Pitbull" in round one, KO

And Rampage Jackson and Satoshi Ishii took us through ALL 3 rounds and left it in the judges hands

I'm excited, plain and simple

YES UFC 200 is upon us and all the potentially greatness that is in store for that week alone!

Vegas is looking so so good for a trip in August

The heavyweights are coming out AGAIN

AND as if we are are still not in shock and awe at Miocic beat down of Werdum at UFC 198

Stipe will be defending his new title against Overeem who's won the last 4 of 5 fights, with three of them in TKO/KO fashion

I feel like the OVEREEM of old is back

BUT then Werdum is not sitting and sulking in the corner... he fighting Ben Rothwell

Who ALSO is not licking his wounds from his last loss

YEAH... I'm kinda excited for what's to come

CM Punk  is scheduled to appear June 29th at UFC 203

And who's Mickey Gall?

Well in his words, he doesn't want to be known as "the CM Punk guy"

Dana White lied about Brock Lesnar fighting at UFC 200

In hopes to surprise everyone with their add during 199

Now Dana White and ZUFFA swear they are not selling

I really find this hard to beleive

ZUFFA knows they are the most popular MMA promotion in the world right?

They should not be shocked that people will dig into their business

AND THEN on UFC Unfiltered Dana continued to play poker regarding the sale, mentioning only that for all yawls that work for him, you still have a job!

On a side note regarding UFC Unfiltered

Dana was the first guest - as it should be

And Matt Serra and Jim Norton and the show, really, have an interesting and awkward way of placing ads... it was hard to listen to

AND THAT'S ALL I'M GONNA SAY ABOUT THAT!

Fedor Who?

Supposed to be the greatest of all time

Supposed to be an easy fight

Supposed to get people excited to see him in the UFC

Supposed to bring a big pay day

After almost losing... and some say he did

Is Fedor a fight you still want to see?

Dana said on UFC Unfiltered that people still really want to see him fight

Remember he has a number of losses

It sounds Like Dana White likes Fedor (and Brock) for his fight selling potential

Soooooo like it or not, sounds like it will happen

Feels like forever since Cowboy last fought

Is Brock Expected to be the savvier of UFC 200?

We sure as hell hope not

He’s not doing it for his fans

He’s not doing it to prove something

He’s fighting at UFC 200 for the money..  Cha Ching

And if that IS the case, how short will this fight be?

If Brock comes in not prepared and this fight sucks

And yes a 30 second knock out sucks for a Co-main event

And if DC goes the distance with Jon Jones again

UFC 200 could leave a lot to be desired

I really, really hope these fights pan out…

Ariel Helwani and his team was not only kicked out of UFC 199, but originally was handed a life time ban by the UFC

The UFC allegedly told him to go over to Bellator

2 days later and a very sad/hurt Ariel shared his side of the story and the next day the UFC pulled back the ban.

We did learn that most of those reporting on the UFC are also on the UFC payroll

The Maine Event Witnessed a man float like a butterfly and sting like a Bisping

Michael Bisping KNOCKS OUT the overly cocky… premadonna Luke Rockhold

I was shocked AS was Vegas

Bisping’s win made him the owner of the 3rd biggest upset victory in UFC history

Holms 1st and Dillashaw 2nd

If you saw Rockholds in ring post fight interview, this loss could not have happened to a more deserving Jack Wagon … JUST SAYIN’

In a very long fight, Dominick Cruz dominated his 5 round decision victory

At One point Cruz hit Faber so hard, Faber’s hair style changed – HA!

Max Holloway, knowing he was ahead on the score cards, in the final seconds asked Lamas if he wanted to go toe to toe to end the fight and so they did

And Holloway… walked off with a decision victory

Dan Henderson… SORT OF lands a kick to the head of Hector Lombard

In the process, Hector leans down just enough

And Henderson connects with a vicious elbow to the head!

He then followed up with few more hard to watch elbows on the ground

Herb says no need to get to crazy with it, homie’s OUT

And Henderson walks away with a first round Nasty DIRTY Elbow KO

And her we thought Henderson might announce his retirement….but should he?

MMA Stalker says YES, this win would be a nice segway into the UFC Hall of Fame one day

Oh AND ONE MORE THING…. Dan walk away with an $800,000 pay day!

Dustin Poirier went with the first round KO

AND Awww Man, Clay Guida lost to Brian Ortega by 3rd round TKO

Fighter 1 is Rousimar Palhares, known mostly for holding onto submissions far too long

UR Fights happened in Phoenix this weekend and I must say I was entertained

UR Fights was brought to us by URShow.tv

And it looks like the new network is trying some new things…

But lets talk about the event first…

We had a little MMA

Shannon Ritch vs Mavrick Harvey

Ritch winning by rear naked choke

We had grappling

Chael Sonnene and Michael Bisping, danced and slapped and hugged it out against the ropes

There were hot chicks and butt cheeks, gold teeth and grills

Riff Raff showed up Tip Toeing in his Jordans

Then we had some WWE action, Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle

The chairs were out and the drama of it all on full display with Riff Raff even coming in at the last second to save Mysterio from a beat down with a chair

AND that’s not all folks…

The night ended with a Boxing bout between Roy Jones Jr and a fan, Vyron “The Cannon” Phillips, who is actually an MMA fighter

And that fight ended with a right hand from Roy Jones and then I’m pretty sure the  slowest fall in the history of anything I’ve seen – ha!

Overall I was entertained

And the entire time I was sitting next to boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard

Just saying…

Anyhow…

Chael Sonnen has a new show that will begin airing called the Republic of Sonnen

The title pretty much says it all – it’s a, quote… “political series that promies to pull no punches”

And Rampage has a TWO shows KTFO

Where he and celebrity guests will be commenting on all them crazy fight videos we see on them intra-nets

And Rampage is Human, which is supposedly coming soon, and is about watching Rampage play video games…

After close to 20 years, The New York State Assembly passed a bill lifting the ban on professional MMA

While there are still a few minor details to work out…

I have to add that I read in an article on ESPN.com that ONE of the nay sayers to the bill referred to MMA as “nearly naked, hot men rolling around”.

No shock this is the same promotion (Venator FC) that continues to support Jason “Mayhem” Miller after his repeated run ins with the law

Palhares’ last fight was at WSOF 22 against Jake Shields where Palhares used eye pokes and held onto a submission far past Jake’s tap.

Seriously, If Palhares fights for Venator in May, WSOF lawyers will have some work to do
