For what felt like the millionth time that week, Remy found a letter waiting for her on the front steps when she came back to Emerson’s place. Even though they scared her, she couldn’t help but pick them up and read them. With shaking hands she opened the letter, worried when she found that the handwriting there was very angry. Her heart dropped.
Dear Remy,
What did I tell you about being around other men? HUH? Do you think you can just toss me aside? HUH? After everything we’ve been through? You know that I love you, but that can only go so far sometimes. If you continue to blatantly ignore my warnings, then my hand will be forced. Don’t underestimate me. Do you know what happens when I’m not listened to? Of course you do. You know me so well. Please, Remy. Please, my radiant light...don’t make me do this. I do not wish to harm anyone, but I would for you. If the only way for you to stop playing your games with me is to get rid of them, I will. Tyler, Ben, Emerson...I can make them all go away. And perhaps that is what is best. We’ll finally be completely together. Just like we want. My hands on your soft skin, finding all the little freckles on your shoulder and back. My hands shake and sweat just thinking about it. Is that why you play these games with me and them? Does it make you feel like I do now? If so, I understand. I understand completely. I will play your game, beauty, and I WILL win.
