The focus of the textile collection is on the reservation techniques of batik, plangi and especially ikat, plus all kinds of embroidery, patchwork, appliqués, stamp printing and an extensive selection of cashmere textiles from the 18th century to the present day. This volume is dedicated to batik from Indonesia,Southern China and Gujarat with the reservation techniques, wax technique, binding technique and stamp printing as well as painting.
