#stan's fez

I 100% support Stan keeping his hat on all day, even at ridiculous times, because I, too, would rather die than take off a hat I’ve been wearing like 24/7 and unleash upon the world my terrible hair.

Also it gets pretty warm and snuggly, no matter what hat it is you’re talking about here, and no one wants to leave that comfort behind.

Bonus Scene:

After Dipper chose the hat from the gift shop in that first episode of Gravity Falls, Grunkle Stan took him aside and gave him a course in how to make sure it doesn’t fall off. It was Grunkle Stan’s Guide to Keeping Your Hat On At All Times. He then made an obstacle course in the backyard and had Dipper go through it until he could do it without his hat falling off without using a secondary item (like glue or bobby pins) to keep his hat on.

In the episode Dreamscaperers, I noticed something.

We all have a few theories about Stan's fez symbol. Through "Tourist Trapped" to "Boss Mabel", it was this symbol:

But,in "Boss Mabel", the symbol on the fez changed to this:

The theories I know are:

-Stan had to get a new hat after the goat ate/stole the fez

-The hat symbol was disliked by parents for what the symbol means (?)

The first theory can't be right.

Why?

Well, let's look at this scene:

This is the memory where Stan put the deed in the safe.

Before the twins arrived.

Before Boss Mabel.

Therefore, Alex Hirsch probably changed the symbol because of the audience (or because he wanted to give us another mystery to solve).

Also, there's another thing I noticed. In the theme song, the map has Stan's old fez symbol.

But, in journal number 2 (in which Gideon use to summon Bill), the symbol shown is the current one.

Now I'm confused. Why hasn't the symbol in the theme song changed, yet the one in the book did? Does this mean something? Or is it something they forgot to change (although that's very doubtful)? What does the symbol mean anyway? Pacman? The Arcade?...hmm....

What does it mean?
