I can somewhat understand the crash out about Oscar being near passing Charles' career wins. I really do. He is a talented driver. This stat only shows how incapable Ferrari is to give Charles a competitive car so that he can have more than 8 career wins to show for his talent.
But also, this is not a spec series with equal machinery. The talent has never been the *only* deciding factor. There are other talented drivers who are/were also talented and capable of fighting for championships if given the right car. The team matters. The car matters. (ask alonso)
Charles has had the opportunity to ditch Ferrari on multiple occasions. He wants to be the Ferrari champion, which is admirable. He knows the shortcomings of the organisation. Still, he chose to extend his contract every single time rather than moving on to a team that can give him the competitive car.
I think it is about time we collectively accept that he doesn't want to be a champion if not with Ferrari.
Don't save Charles, he doesn't wanna be saved.

They made a whole new norris-specific front suspension just because he strugged to perform. Now they are pressuring oscar to adopt the new suspension that doesn't fix anything for him and CREATES NEW ISSUES.
As he stated, Oscar already tried it in the sim and didn't like it. On theory and in practice, it gives him *additional problems* with pace, steering, and tyre wear but no gains.
Still, Mclaren wants him to adopt it because logistics would be easier. And they pressure him publicly with the press.
Development path following which aero eith new updates is still a question.
They are going above and beyond to accomodate Norris. They expect Oscar sacrifice performance in a title fight to make their jobs easier.
No one can convince me that Mclaren doesn't a favourite son.
whichever way this lackluster papaya championship fight goes in december, "merry christmas, please don't call" edits will hit and they will hit Hard after Abu Dhabi 2025.
i just finished heated rivalry & the long game. I know nothing about hockey so the public perception of their relationship didnt make sense to me.
then I realised I would be mad af too if my franchise player was in a relationship w the enemy the whole time, carried my team to a championship & then walked away as a free agent to an ass team w no real explanation.

oscar piastri to redbull move, would it be a career suicide? yes. most likely.
would it be the funniest thing ever? also yes.
I dont think WDC fight is over. Oscar just won himself a free DNF. If one mclaren is P1, you know the other one is P2 right beside them if something doesnt go wrong horribly. I believe in the abilities of my chosen driver to bring the trophy home. But I wont pretend that we should cancel the next 9 races already.
