Hello A(ll)LM

Today I will share my one though with you. Here we go.

Alm is usually only brought up when b(lack)lm is too. If you support alm truly to it's meaning you would take a stand with b(lack)lm. So until alm is brought up with out b(lack)lm then you can say it's not only used to counter b(lack)lm. Now to people who think b(lack) is saying only black lives matter you can go on down.

To think about it another way would be number groups in math. Alm is rational numbers and b(lack)lm is integers. One is a subpart of another.

And to those using blm as b(lue) lives matter it's false on a statement sense unless talking about smurfs. Being a cop is a career, something you can leave as you please. yes they might be in danger but it's a danger they signed up for. You can take off the badge and walk out. You can not take off your skin.

And finally those "who say go back where you came from if you hate here." They were born here. Unless your taking about their great-grandparents, or even great-great-grandparents. Sure some are from other countries but most fighting for b(lack)lm are from America.

I am not black, I will never understand you, but I stand with you. Been doing a lot of research, a lot of listening, and a lot of reflecting these past few weeks. There are a few things that after looking around, I noticed. While there are much better experts on such topics than I (which I will be linking below, so feel free to just check out the links and ignore me), I think echoing (ranting) out the main points don’t hurt.

rant:

- Defund the police does NOT equal abolish.  There are both cons and pros to this, especially as the definition of this is actually not fully ironed out and consistent between most of the sources. Understanding and ironing out what these can mean is important. Boiling it down to its VERY basics though it means to redistribute funds and demilitarize, and scrutinize the unions.

- when your first instinct is to argue “all” instead of “black”, you’ve already lost your own argument through hypocrisy.

- the changes announced by the administration are a STEP in the right way. Not because of what it will accomplish much, but because it shows that the country is listening and progress can be made. But it also doesn’t mean this is over though. with everything that’s going on, things beyond simple “incentives” and vague language. How to create solid systems that help weed out built in systemic racism, how to get rid of qualified immunity, are going to take time, but its also going to take constant pressure and attention. -  if you are donating, great! watch out for scams or mishaps though. Make sure you know where the money is going and how it is being distributed. The few minutes you take to understand what you are donating to/for isn’t just to make sure you are supporting the right causes and avoiding mishaps, but also helps you be more educated/sympathetic about what is going on, often through a better perspective then simply through social media  (just a general rule, lmao)

- if you are a student/minor/etc. that can’t provide cash, the same goes for you! Make sure you are keeping an eye on the streams and videos your playing and make sure they end up going where they are intended. 

- take the time to reflect. ALWAYS. if taking away nothing else, this should be a wake up call to all of us, myself included, that racism is not a binary scale. You do not get to feel sympathetic for a man, then turn and say “but...”, “bad apples...”,  or “this has gone to far...” and “racism no longer exists” while ignoring the history this country, this world, is built on. Yes it can fall under a socioeconomic issue. A issue that is created and continually fed by a system that is built racist. History isn’t just trapped in old textbooks or closed off by time. Until a conscious and continuous effort is made, racism will always stem in our viewpoints, our system, and everything else in our lives.

So I just found out that there's a list that's calling Americans who support Black Lives Matter traitors and I just....

I mean I'm not surprised there's people that ignorant out there who actually think you're a traitor to America for supporting Americans who's lives are literally in danger. I'm just glad that the people listed are taking it as more of a compliment than the insult the creator is trying to make it be.
