A comparison: BMW R 1200 RS vs Honda CBR 1000RR
BMW R1200RS is the sporting star of BMW motorcycles; Honda also brought its CBR1000RR, as the sporting rival of BMW and Harley-Davidson. Honda and BMW motorbikes are always in competition as both companies tries to prove their best in Moto GT sporting event. Honda CBR1000RR
Honda CBR1000RR also known as Honda Fireblade due to its 999cc liquid cooled inline four cylinder engine. The engine has horsepower of 172 bhp at 11000 rotation per minute. Torque is 76 lb-ft at 8500 rpm. The power transmission is through 6 speed gearbox. Electric starting with chain drive. It has liquid cooling system. Fuel consumption of Honda CBR1000RR is better than its many rivals. It has also a larger fuel for more fuel volume. Honda also provide 1 gallon extra reserve. The bike is available at 2 different colors. Honda safety feature is the traction control provided in base model of motorbike. ABS however is not provided in the base model.
BMW R1200RS
BMW R1200RS has 1170 cc flat twin cylinder engine. Each cylinder 4 valves and cooling system is dual air/liquid. The maximum output of engine is 125 bhp @ 7750 rpm. The maximum torque is 92 lb-ft at 6500 rpm. Electronic intake pipe injection for engine management and mixture control is provided to bike. Premium unleaded fuel type is provided to bike. The bike transmission is through 6 speed gearbox. The front tire has dual disk front floating brake with 4 piston calipers and single disc rear brake. The bike has 4.7 gallon fuel volume and 1 gallon fuel reserve. Neither ABS (anti-lock braking system) nor Traction Control is available in BMW R1200RS.
