We are a strong and proud community! We stick together and fight with our love. In this time where technology is so easy use and we have a voice; let's make them see us. Be proud of who you are, lovelies. Be proud of who you love. Show them that we do not hide and we will not fear. They can try to push us down, but we are stronger than the hate. We are stronger than the violence. We are a community that will not back down. Post your pictures. Be free with your love. Be who you are and what you are, which is human.
Rise up, speak up, look up, but don't give up. @venicebeachpride @prayersfororl #venicepride #standingwithorlando #loveisloveisloveislove #prayforpulse (at Venice California 90291)

Join the Palm Springs community as we stand with Orlando and the tragedy that took place at PULSE. In times such as this, it's important that we demonstrate the strength that is found in vibrant communities such as ours.
Thanks to the City of Palm Springs for working so urgently and diligently to accommodate this event on Arenas Road, which is so closely identified as Our Place in this community.
The LGBT Community Center of the Desert, Mayor Robert Moon and others have organized this “Vigil for the Orlando Victims” of the horrific attack on the LGBT club Pulse.
The Center’s CEO Mike Thompson expressed, “Not only are we shocked and saddened by this attack on not only our LGBT brothers and sisters, but all Americans. As we gather this evening to express our solidarity and sadness, we are calling for an end to the hatred that is being expressed by politicians and others that are seeking to divide, rather than unite us,” said Thompson. “Religious, racial, and anti-LGBT hatred must stop.”
The LGBT Community Center of the Desert Community Organization · Palm Springs, California M-F 8:30am to 4:30pm. Check the calendar for night, weekend classes and our Food Bank program.

Orlando
My heart is so heavy for Orlando and every single precious soul lost there this weekend. I can’t begin to even imagine the grief these families are facing. Yes, we need God and prayer. We also need CHANGE. I don’t have the answers, but, I am asking myself “what can I do to be the change”? The time has come to act. Please join me in the coming days and weeks as we all ponder how each of us can BE THE CHANGE. What we are individually able to contribute to change may be small, but, small victories can add up to bigger change. Evil must not win. Love is love.
