Stain (2025)

been doing alot of music listening and re-evaluating of my creative goals while *not* making art the last few months. in that time i found this EP from Standstill, and it instantly became one of my favorite releases from this year.

the sonic qualities grabbed me by the soul this summer so i wanted to make a piece around this album, and Stain specifically, my first step back to getting back to my projects and creative self. i have playlists to make, poems to write, big writing projects to complete... and maybe school too. i'll take my time...

i've been dealing with a fair amount of creative (and emotional) fatigue the last few months since i finished the Flesh World album art, and the creative drive has kinda fallen to the wayside the last while but i think my capacity is coming back

i think the colors i landed on could be better but its my first piece since mixed vegetables and i think in that way it feels appropriate for all the parts of my life that conspired to get me here.
