Agents of Shield unpopular opinions?

I feel like someone in the writers room wanted Grant Ward to someday get redemption. Especially early on, it felt like they were setting up a redemption arc for him by letting the viewers get an idea of what his childhood was like. I can’t elaborate much on this (idk how to really), but I feel like he was set up for one and then didn’t get it.

On another note, I feel like Grant Ward deserved that redemption arc. He wasn’t brainwashed the way the others were, but he was basically brainwashed by Garrett, who found a kid who was broken down and turned him into a soldier. I feel like he could have been saved.

Can someone please explain what’s going on. I haven’t watched AOS since Grant died (Grant Ward NOT Hive) and I’m suddenly seeing Brett/Ward on my dash again

More little quirks...

Deke becomes obsessed with Harry Potter when he first meets the group. He reads all the books and watches all the movies over the span of a few weeks. He’s heartbroken when he realizes that the Harry Potter books didn’t exist in the 80s.

Skye is surprisingly good at playing the guitar. The team finds out when she drags them into an instrument store after one of their missions, picks up a beat up second hand guitar and plays it beautifully. They all pitch in to buy her a guitar not long after that. Ward appreciates it greatly, as listening to her play some top 40s song and hum along is one of the only things that calms him down after the beserker incident. He only feels a little weird about the fact that he hasn’t told her that, and he listens to her play through the thin walls of the bunks.

May has legal guardianship over a kid at the academy. May worked in the field with her mother, and promised to look after her when her mother was killed. May doesn’t act as a parental figure, but more as the ‘cool aunt.’

Jemma is better at mental math than Fitz, but always answers slower so that he thinks he’s better at it.

Grant Ward was born with curly hair. It became straight over time, like most kids.

All the Framework is doing for me is proving that anyone can become evil if things in their life happen differently. 

Now if only Jemma and Daisy and the others would realize this and stop treating Ward as the definition of evil cause if his life went differently, he’d be good too
