why doesn't any one talk abt stanked Randy. I think its such a neat concept tbh. you can turn him into a weird aggressive creature. think abt the chaos when the ninja doesn't show up to help. or maybe hes wearing the mask when it happens. and now people are panicking cuz oh shit there goes their only defense AND he's attacking them!! you could write something from an outsider perspective or from his perspective or from an allies perspective, etc.

and this idea isn't only fun for writers. like imagine all the design possibilities. maybe hes based on a lion or a dragon, cuz he's more powerful and dangerous. or maybe hes a wolf, not as huge and terrifying but still able to do a lot of damage. maybe he's like a deer, cuz he was stanked for being too scared all the time, always watching for enemies like a prey animal. the list goes on and on. I'm going on a tangent here sorry I just think animals are neat. you could incorporate some references to some of his weapons, maybe put the norisu 9 symbol somewhere because he carries that burden and its his now.

love the idea of the ninja suit affecting the design. maybe it acts a bit like a weapon but also something to restrain him from doing damage. it partially has a mind of its own and it controls him as much as he controls it. I think that would just be neat, maybe symbolic idk!!!

maybe I'm just missing the posts? maybe around a decade ago this stuff was easier to find but its not now. so I guess I'll just have to make the content I want to see. sigh

The Amnesiac Ninja au

Alexander “Alex” Cunningham was a good father and husband who works as a guidance counselor at Norrisville High School. For some reason, ever since his son Randy turned 14 and became a Freshman, Alex has been having strange dreams that he can barely recall, instincts and sensations he can’t understand. Things Alex believes shouldn’t be happening to someone like him, a normal man with a semi normal life.

Unfortunately his life does change and secrets become revealed the day his son gets turned into a monster by an ancient evil living under the school he works at.

Dealing with the Stank

Okay, so- I had this idea cooking in my head for a little while and decided I might as well share my thoughts as part of a little treat!

After reading "Dog and Phony Show", I began questioning why the show never alluded to Randy getting stanked- of course, this is likely only due to him being the main character, but in context of the canon - this is quite an interesting thing to not have included within the show. Do Ninjas simply not get stanked because the suit is protecting them? Of course, there's also the fact

So, genuinely this whole thing happens because Randy either gets distressingly overwhelmed with being the Ninja OR it has to do with a ridiculous feeling of inferiority- (think something like what happened during the whole Lucius O' Thunderpunch fiasco, but you know, if it had done a little more realistically)

He does try to fight off the stank, but ultimately the Sorcerer manages to take over and Randy remembers briefly blacking out before ‘waking up’ in a daze- of course, he doesn’t have the foggiest what’s happening and feels this overwhelming urge to break free, and run… so he bursts out of wherever he’s in

I do view Randy as being this quadrupedal creature and has this fluffy mane but okay- first things first…

Stanked! Randy Headcanons

🧣 Randy would be themed either after an oriental dragon, a lion of sorts, or even… some sort of cheetah-looking creature. For some reason, this just makes sense to me-

🧣 He's going to be fast and that makes him harder to catch, but at the same time- I feel he might be slightly uncoordinated, letting himself be governed by present emotions

🧣 Randy will have purple somewhere on his stanked form- at least to make sure that it's him and not someone else. If I remember correctly, Dog and Phony Show had it as a mane and I think it would be a pretty cool feature to have!

🧣 I also feel that Randy isn't going to be easy to be destanked, but he also did attempt to resist- purely because he knows that as the Ninja, him getting overpowered by the Sorcerer is not ideal

🧣 He obviously doesn't have any of his powers as the Ninja- apart from being agile and lithe

Additional Thoughts + Analysis

If we're speaking on the angle of him getting stanked because of being overwhelmed, and that is putting it mildly, I imagine he's just full of anger and frustration which means the only way to destank him is by convincing the boy what he's doing is important- that he's capable, that he's a good Ninja. I honestly think that if the show were done for a more serious angle, he would be a little bound by the mantle he carries.

At some point, he reaches breaking point- feeling he can't juggle his own career, so to speak, as the Ninja and his own life as a high schooler which is what leads to his own 'demise' so to speak. In doing so, probably the only people who have the power to reverse the stank are Howard and Theresa for reasons to say the least- one being more obvious than the other.

As a bonus! This idea was cowritten between myself and a lovely mutual of mine @just-animaxiz featuring a non-canon take on "Into the Ninjaverse" - in an alternate reality where Spike, the leader of the punk bots, is the Ninja and Randy's a regular human... our favorite boy deals with a certain ahems loss to keep from spoiling the story too much. Overcome by grief, he falls pawn to the Sorcerer and goes on a violent rampage to the point he nearly ends McFist. This AU of course, is a lot deeper but I'd hate to ruin the fun so early.

Out of curiosity, and a quick show of hands- would anyone be interested in me writing a fic where Randy's stanked?

I might honestly do both versions- the one where he's stanked in a canon divergent timeline, and one for my beloved (/p) mutual.

My own stanked Randy design. Mostly a mixture of both eastern and western dragons.

Was gonna draw another puff of smoke from gif other nostril but figured it would ruin the aesthetics, so I dropped that.

It’s gonna be a crucial part of his development in my continuation story regarding something deficient that breaks him. The spoilers end here. Hehe~

Ok so I decided to redesign my very old stanked design for Ninja Randy I made a very long time ago

And here is his new look!

Still has a few things from the old one but has more of a different look this time. I added a little tiny bit more bird like features, kinda, he still has the feathers too because of the Tengu since ya know, the ninja suit was woven from the Tengus feathers-

His scarf is now like his long tail with a bit of feathers on it at the end. Like the normal scarf, he can use it to swing around or grab things, but he doesn’t really need it for the first option since he has big wings so he can fly-

If you couldn’t tell, he has 3 arms, one of them is just hidden behind his back.

Cunningham 12

  - in tandem with miraculous 19/20 -

Directly following the events of Miraculous 19, it's now the next day at norrisville high. Lloyd's very close to losing control to wrath and wrath's scolding his attempts in paris to alert his friends sooner, saying if he fails, they'll be dead but not from him. All that's left is keeping Lloyd from regaining control once fully in possession form and wrath has an idea. The winning school is having fun planting traps around the school to bring misery to the school, and one of them is tasked with the lab and alarms the herald and julian who're still hiding from the nighttime. However, in a scene straight up from a horror movie, when the person tries to open the door, wrath's corporal form jumps out of the glass and yanks him inside. 

Outside, the students are caught by the front doors giving strong wind gusts that blow lots over and more are caught by water dispenser pranks, foam bathroom spreaded vents, etc. Lloyd's not been caught yet: in fact, no one's seen him. Everyone's gloomy, but it ain't over yet as Everyone's evemtually gathered in the hall after lunch as a grand finale is promised, but first, a televised sponsor segment which focuses on the performers, making Theresa mortified and the nomicon on such high alert as it's been active a lot as if it's a warning in which here randy mistakes it for his parents ringtone. They preceed to pie and slime the bully and flute girl before Theresa and Lloyd are targeted by them. Speaking of which, from behind the doors is Lloyd, who's very close, listening in after taking the guarding people out by giving them a 'nice long nap'. Wrath's clearly speaking to Lloyd what Theresa is shakily saying and that if wrath took over, he'll keep her safe and his other friends as long as he's in control. They ready to humiliate her when, from the doors, a loud sound implodes the doors, and black orange smoke creeps out, encircling Theresa in a protective state and pointing sharp vines at each 'enemy' wrath sees. One of them throws a pie at Lloyd, but it literally disintegrates before touching him, and in the panic, Randy runs to change, unaware someone's got eyes on him. 

Lloyd uncannily shifts away backwards, beginning to physically change and retreating the smoke, growing black vines as an armour like covering and flaming orange hair. The sorceress decides to attempt to stank wrath, but he catches the stank and guides it into one long wavy line in an act of power, and darkens it himself before sending it out like a breeze. Randy is about to turn into the ninja, but this powerful black stank forces him to transform into a beast and drop the ninja mask instead. 

Word of Paris reaches far very fast, and now everyone's slowly arriving as wrath begins to summon the items from the lab to utilise their power, but still needs two last items. Howard finds the mask as the nomicon calls him and Theresa inside. There's some stares from other heroes present due to the shloomping, even getting remarked as a ridiculous safety function,  in which bruce mccheese appears and protects the safety measure the ninjanonicon has. Knowing the true threat wrath poses, the nomicon summons both of them as ninjas to save Randy, something Theresa's just found out and responds accordingly. Wrath floats in the middle of a field stadium, stanked Randy by his side as is his acolytes. From a distance, john watches and asks an unseen observer what the outcome may be. John replies:

"There will be tears..."
