I've been getting staph infections in this finger for 2y because I didn't wash something I bought at a thrift store before wearing it that exact same amount od time ago. What's unfortunate is that you cannot see the red and purple discoloring, and can barely see the swelling, but I assure you it is quite painful and inconvenient. Now I have to weigh making an urgent care appt vs. just leaving it alone and hope it gets better. I've been to the Dr before. They always say to leave it alone and it will go away.
