4. what’s ur fave kin memory?
when chara first showed up in the underground they were really quiet and scared of everyone; because i was the one who found them, they trusted me a little bit more, so they were staying in my room. i believe this would have been back before we moved to hew home? anyway.
when i was a kid i was only allowed to use the magic i was taught by my parents, mostly fire magic, bc as a boss monster with a greater amount of magical power i guess they were afraid Bad Things would happen if i did anything else, but i wasn’t very fond of that. fire magic wasn’t super interesting to me; light magic was. so, i just kind of. taught myself. the stars and lasers and stuff you see in the true pacifist battle? that was all self taught when i was a kid. to practice, i’d go down to the end of the ruins, where the infrastructure was the most hazardous and where somewhat more shady individuals would hang out, looking for casual danmaku battles for fun (i had a pretty good win record, too). when not practicing in battles, i’d just practice in secret in my bedroom when my parents weren’t around.
so, one day, i was practicing forming star bullets in the room i was now sharing with chara, knowing that they wouldn’t tell my parents about it, they didn’t talk to anyone really. i guess this was probably one of the first times, if not the first time i used magic around chara? in any case, they were absolutely enthralled by my magic and after watching for a while came up to me slowly and asked what it was. we bonded over that, me explaining magic to them and showing them some of what i could do. that’s probably my favorite asriel memory, the time spent befriending chara and watching how fascinated they were by the little colorful stars i made.
