hi I’m annemarie and I’m an art historian! not adjuncting for the first time in five years was rly hard for me so I threw some slides together so I could still (sort of) teach the same material as my language of art class but a) I threw these slides together for instagram so space was/is limited and b) language of art is a ten week run through art history so I’m presenting only the most accessible information here – there’s so much more to this art period and to these artists! – please don’t expect it to be comprehensive and please do ask if you have any questions!

oh p.s. my first ever class of art history students came up with the name ‘art mom’ for me at the end of the quarter and yes it does make me cry if I think about it too long thanks so much for asking

Presentation:

Sailor Galaxia is a major antagonist in the Sailor Moon series. She is the Sailor Guardian of Destruction and the ruler of Shadow Galactica. She fights and slays other Sailor Guardians to collect their Crystals for more power.

His villainy's journey:

Galaxia was born on an asteroid. When she grew up, she awakened her Sailor Guardian powers and she left her asteroid to explore the universe. She also sought challenges against each Sailor Senshi she met across the universe for finding a sense to her life. One day, she met Chaos (the incarnation of Darkness) who requested her to collect all the Sailor Crystals for the entity itself.

His biggest crimes:

Sailor Galaxia attacked and destroyed a lot of planets (the planet Kinmoku included) in addition of killing all the Sailor Senshi she fought against. She founded her personal empire (Shadow Galactica) with the other Sailor Guardians who pledged allegiance to her. She sent her minions to battle against the Sailor Moon team for collecting their Crustals on planet Earth. She killed Tuxedo Mask the Usagi/Sailor Moon's fiancé.

-Queen Beryl (shocked and upset): "You did what ?! 😨😡"

-Sailor Galaxia: "You were already the first one to do that on him first.😒"

In the Sagittarius Zero Star, she tracked Sailor Moon, Chibiusa, Chibi Chibi/Sailor Cosmos, Princess Kakyuu and the Sailor Starlights (Star Fighter, Star Maker and Star Healer). She even sent the Sailor Moon's friends (including Tuxedo Mask) now resurrected into her war puppets to fight against the magical girl.

-Queen Beryl: "That sounds better but it isn't evil enough."

-Sailor Galaxia: "You will see better than that. 😏"

At the core of the Sagittarius Zero Star, Galaxia threw the Garden Crystal (where all the collected Crystals were contained inside) in the Galaxy Cauldron, the source of all the Star seeds, for being melt inside. In the process, Chaos fused with the Cauldron itself. And Galaxia planned to make an overpowered Sailor Moon and Chaos to fight against each other until their deaths for being the post powerful Sailor Guradian of all times. Despite Chaos betrayed her, she sacrifier her own life for helping Sailor Moon and Sailor Cosmos to eradicate Chaos once and all.

-Galaxia: "Thank you. And the nickname "Sailor Slayer" is honouring for me. 😘"

-Queen Beryl: "But you haven't managed kill Sailor Moon."

-Galaxia: "I don't care. I managed to find my sense of life. I found the true happiness thanks to Sailor Moon unlike to you."

-Beryl: "What the... ? 😲 Enough of your arrogance against me. I am going to kill you, you f*cking Sailor amazon ! 😡🤬"

-Deadpool (cheerful): "Fight ! Fight ! Fight ! 🤗"

Beryl and Galaxia are both embarrassed by Deadpool. 😒😓
