I really need to post more here. Here's a WIP for a comic I'm doing. It's Mei-Lin from my original series, Star-Breeze, and Reznya from Moonshine Animations' Shrapnel series. Now that I'm getting a style down, I think I'm ready to try my hand at some comics that aren't crossovers.
Cybernetic Solutions is a multifaceted tech company founded in the year 2145 during Earth's big spacefaring boom. The tech company was the firs Earth-based company to establish itself in other parts of the Milky Way Galaxy after coming across several major trade partners, the Sepian Empire, Solarian Empire, and Tetra Pirate Guild. As of the year 2625, their products include biotechnology, genetic engineering, weaponry, and colonial terraforming. They were one of the first corporations to declare independence from the Terran Federation in the year 2602, though it wasn't officially declared a separate entity until 2618. They're partially responsible for the fall of the Terran Federation, which was the first, and last, independent extraterrestrial entity run by pure humans. During the search for rare, powerful gems known as Ethrite crystals, the company struck a deal with one of their long-time customers, the Solarian Empire. They provide the location of a potential Ethrite source, the Solarians provide them with a large sum of money and resources to further their intergalactic footprint. The result, the destruction of Earth, the death over half the current human population, and the dissolution of the Terran Federation and all of its territories, bringing the Solar System and all of its inhabitants under Solarian control. This is just a couple of logos I created in Photoshop for the primary opposing force in a science fiction series I've been writing forever.

YWoo, almost done with another semester. It's been a rough one, but I've gotten a lot done. I finished a show/series Bible for Star-Breeze, put together a pitch sheet, and wrote three spec scripts. I've been trying to find time to write at least one more chapter of Space Dandy, but I just don't see it happening. While that may be a bad thing for those of you that enjoyed the work, it's been a good thing for my original series, Star-Breeze. So far, my scripts and writings for it have been a big hit with my classmates, and I'm definitely going to be showcasing my work at a local writing competition. Also, due to a major stroke of luck, I will be taking a semester off from attending my local college to study film and animation in Los Angeles! As a result, I need to start saving up some major cash for it. I'll admit, I'm a little nervous. I've never stayed in any big city setting for such a long period of time and have never lived very far from my hometown, but I'm also excited to have a chance to not only enhance my skills, but to make connections. I plan on starting a writing vlog/blog that I want to update on a regular basis, but I haven't really found an outlet. YouTube is an obvious choice for a vlog, but as far as blogging goes, I'm split between just starting my own website and using Tumblr. Tumblr is the more popular choice, but there are a lot of downsides to using Tumblr, but I'm exploring my options. As far as content goes, I'm planning on posting my three scripts on here sometime soon. Right now, I'm just waiting until the semester is officially over so I can post them and get you guys' feedback on them. I would also like to post my series bible, but I may just post an abridged version to both avoid legal ramifications and to cover my own hide in case my series does happen to get picked up by a major network in the future. As rough as this semester has been and how terrible my luck has been, I've really learned a lot and can't wait to share my knowledge! As far as summer plans go, I'm working extra hours at my job so I can save up for my four month stay in LA. I still plan on doing a modeling project, but it's just going to be a simple repaint and detail work. I also plan on studying drawing and will be buying some anatomy books to study and look over. Most importantly, though, I really want to work on Star-Breeze. It's funny, I never thought it would be so well-received. For those of you not in the know, it's basically the world where Carrie, a popular fanfiction character I keep throwing around everywhere because I'm still insecure about making comic relief/support characters, comes from. The series has been described by my professor as a cross between a show called Firefly and a show called Red Dwarf. It's funny, as I based the show around an animated series called Outlaw Star and an old sci-fi film called Blade Runner. Also, (sorry, kinda rambling at this point, not much sleep due to finals/writing for three days straight), I've changed the name of Kenkaku-no-Kenkon to Star-Breeze and have completely rewritten it. That was what I worked on for a majority of the semester. The original premise just didn't work, and after consulting with online friends and my professor, all of which have been tremendously helpful, I've finally come up with something that works. Since I don't feel comfortable posting a show bible due to plagiarists/legal issues, I'll just give a brief overview. The series centers around five characters who are working together to try to carve out a living in the universe. There's Masaki, the main character; a former vigilante who plays the straight man in the series. Mei-Lin, the female Harrison Ford-esque captain and leader who's always trying to make a quick buck. Carrie, everyone's favorite Sepian, who's always eating something and making a mess. Dex, the brilliant but lazy tech guy who's always telling stupid jokes and hitting on Carrie. And finally TOMAS, the more-human-than-machine A.I., who plays the voice of reason. Logline: In the year 2625, a rag-tag crew aboard a run-down spaceship tries to strike it rich while avoiding bounty hunters and other sinister forces out to capture them. So... that's what I've been working on. Again, once the class ends and I've received a grade for my scripts, I'm free to post them on here at a later date.
