❝ do you like it here? ❞
there they were sitting on the windshield ( spaceshield? ) of star-lord's ship... out in space before. looking up ( if an 'up' existed in space. ) at all the stars. it reminded of clark of the days when he was young out in smallville. sitting on a car hood if a red pick up within a road buried between endless fields of corn. up above ? stars. at the time clark had no idea where he came from was nestled within all those bright lights. that his origin was far from the all american and all earthly soil he was on. but alien.
now, hes in space. no breather, no suit. the cold vacuum did nothing to him. it almost seemed like he belonded here. clark, in many ways more than one, was much like a star. the power within him rivaled a super nova. yet, he can't say this was home despite space's endless bounty and strife. it was earth. clark would shrug his shoulders giving star-lord a look as he waved his hand.
❝ i do- i do. what's not to like. being here in space is so many people's dream. i could never take it for granted. but, looking at all the worlds my telescopic eyes can see... i think even way our here i can still feel earth's gravitational pull calling me home. ❞ at first he sounded thoughtful and maybe somewhat soulful as he spoke. but near the end that familiar smile came back to him.
❝ what about you. you like it here ? ❞
