Something I noticed about Star’s newbery form is that well it starts kinda instinctual and reactionary before changing and going from a separate personality to being more of a typical super form.

So, Star destroying magic. "According to a Q&A session with the show creators, when asked what the main characters are doing since the series ended, they said Star would be traveling the globe, exploring herself, and learning to do things without magic. They also suggested that she may discover that magic isn't actually dead" So does that mean Mina could return or was less people affected or did destroy magic really change nothing.
