but okay so if matu is like a little brother to me, galang’s like an older one. i actually became friends with galang through matu and we haven’t been close for as long as matu and i have been close, but there are so many hilarious stories that i could tell about the days before galang and i actually became friends. so we met back in fourth grade too actually, and we were in one class and tbh idk how it happened but someone he always seemed to get on my nerves and i got on his too a lot and we were also rivals (especially in mathematics) and we just constantly bantered and stuff and i would make fun of him and he would hit my shoulder lmao. long story short, if you asked me about galang back in fourth grade, i would never expect him to be one of my best friends in the present day.
anywaaay, we became friends back in eighth grade. he and matu grew close in seventh grade and are now basically best friends forever but yeah like matu and i never truly did drift away and so this one time in eighth grade matu was like “hey karin can we come to your house and hang out” and it was kinda a big outing so i was like okay cool let me just invite people AND THEN MATU DECIDED TO GO “would it be cool if galang and his gf (at that time) come?” and idk how to say no (to which i’m super grateful of) so i was like “yeah….ok” and so we all hung out and on that day there was this thing called the student council ball and a lot of people who hung out at mine went to the sc ball but galang wasn’t one of those people, so him and a couple other of my friends hung out at mine after the others were gone and lmao tbh it was just like bam friendship between galang and i. we became friends over something really absurd now that i think about it but hey sometimes the strangest happenings gifts you with the closest friends. and i’ve known him for about three years now but i honestly can’t remember what it was like without him in my life and i’m just really thankful that i have him and he has been a really influential person in my life.
