Hana Yori Dango and its offshoot shows have been such a success around the world the CW decided to jump on the bandwagon and make an American version of the show, with an American twist. Oakwood is set on a fictional college campus in sunny Los Angeles called Oakwood University. The school has a reputation for being one of the hardest and most expensive schools to get into, and at the center of all this pomp and prestige is the school's greek organization lead by 4 very influential young men known as the F4. If you bother them in any way you will get a dreaded red card, which will cause everyone to harras you until you leave the school... enter Daisy, one of the first scholarship students in Oakwoods history. When she has her first interaction with the F4 she does not like what she sees and makes it her mission to bring them all down. The show started airing this past fall and has had rave reviews from both the fans of the original Japanese drama as well as teens and young adults who had never heard of the original show.
